Track N Field Days ~

School is winding down and we are excited to have these last few fun events going on at school!!!!! Track N Field Day is something the kids always look forward to and enjoy!!! Matthew's track day was on Tuesday! It was sunny but cold and windy! Even though I was wrapped in a blanket almost all day, we still got a warm glow on our skins!

Matthew is finishing up 8th grade. It's unreal how fast time is going and to know that we will have to high scholars next year is amazing!

Matthew competed in high jump!

Austin was his little shadow throughout the day! Here Matthew takes time to throw catch with him a bit! And he pushed him on the swings later in the day. It touched my heart because I didn't have to ask him to do these things for Austin, he just wanted to!

At the end of the day, Austin asked to run around the track one time! He ran the whole track without stopping and Matthew was at the finish line cheering him on!!!!! Love this!

When we got home, Ashlyn went upstairs and grabbed some tubbies. Matthew filled them up with hot water and the kids soaked on the back porch! Bring on all the summer vibes right!!!???

On Wednesday, we went right back to school for day 2 of Track N Field. This time it was Ashlyn's day to shine!

There are always relay races in the morning. Everyone is put into group colors and compete in that way!

Go GREEN!!!!

And look who got to sit together to cheer for Ashlyn and Hunter!!!!!

After lunch, we moved down to the tracks for the field events. Here Ashlyn got to compete in some running events. This day the weather was much better! Warm and sunny and we now have based tans!

These track days make the kids so tired! They did great and enjoyed the events but by the time it was bedtime, they were ready to be tucked in and say good night!!!!

We are so blessed to have such a great group of teachers and leaders to make days like these fun and eventful!! Thank you LINVILLE HILL STAFF!!!!!

Weekend Vibes!!!!

We had the best weekend weather this past weekend!!!! It felt so good to have warmer tempts and a sunny Sunday!!!!!

Sunday afternoon the little ones got the sprinkler hooked up and loved running through the water!!!!

~ Junior/Senior Formal ~

Look at these pretty girls! Hadassah went to the Junior/Senior Formal on Friday night! Her and Jenna went together to get their hair done and then asked to get ready in the master bathroom. I said yes but I really didn't mean "to move in!!!!" Goodness me! Two girls sure can have a lot of makeup, hair products, empty Latte Luv cups, towels and curlers everywhere!!! I'm making a mental note for next year! If we can't clean up afterward we are ready, we get ready in the single bathroom next time!!!! :)

Saturday night was a fun outing for Mike and I! We planned a few weeks ago to go out with Dave and Darlene! They are friends from church and sometimes we need to be intentional about getting together or else it just stays with talking about it! We planned to stop at Produce Junction in Exton for a quick tour of this fun produce/flower market! I love this place!!!! We had to look and shop quick because we got there 5 minutes before closing time! :/// It was great!

Then we drove a bit further to Fogo De Chao. This is a Brazilian steakhouse with an amazing salad bar and meats!!!! It was Dave's first time there and they both really enjoyed it!!!!

Outside the restaurant there were a bunch of other restaurants and little shops! Because the weather was so perfect, lots of people were out walking the streets and eating!

We came home to this!!! How sweet and cute!!!

I knew the evening could get long if the other children stayed home all evening, so I asked my sister if the kids could come to their house for a few hours! Look what she posted!!! What fun! I love when our kids came be together and have a blast! Thanks again Jody for making this a fun night for the kids and for us!!!!

We like to have a Mom/Sisters Day when there's a birthday and so we planned to go out on Monday to The Bakers Table! The only problem was that Mim and Mindy backed out because of sick children! Too bad! The others and I still went and we had a fun time!

We ate. We shopped. We drank coffee! What else do sisters do together!!!???

What a great day!

I came home to cut some lettuce for our supper! Just loving these crisp greens!

It's the cutest thing in the world to watch Ashlyn skip out to the garden and hum and sing and look what she can find!!! She loves the garden and I'm sure when she gets big she will out do any of my gardening skills because she loves it so much! Now, these eggs didn't come from the garden but she helped Matthew out with his chores and hunted the eggs!

Here's a cute story: I heard the kids say, "Let's make a scarecrow!" My first thoughts were to look on Pinterest on how to make a quick, easy scarecrow and show them how to do it! But when I looked out the window, I stopped right in my tracks! They were getting the concept on their own and so I just watched! I also grabbed my camera and stole the moment!!! When Ashlyn seen that I was spying, she said, "Meet Crow!" We don't have too many critters around the garden but we do want to keep the birds from eating our strawberries and peas! Maybe Crow will help with that!!!!
