Baby Shower!

We did it!!!!!  We surprised Hadassah with a baby shower!  She came expecting it to be a birthday party for my nephew Hunter but instead Lenas kitchen was filled with her friends and family to bless her with many gifts, diapers and books!

We've been planning this for weeks and I'm really ready to not trudge softly around Hadassah anymore!  It has happened a number of times when I had plans to swing by Party City to grab a few party supples but Hadassah called me that morning asking what I'm doing.  I just said that I'm making a few stops and she asked to go along.  So I went to Party City another day.  She asked me on Monday if I'm going to Costco this week ... um, yes I need food for the party.  But of course I didn't tell her that but I did say yes and she asked to go along.  So we went on Monday and then I went right back on Tuesday to grab party foods.  After she said that she's coming over Tuesday night while Jeremiah goes to mens bible study, I quick made a stop at Lenas to drop off all the foods I got at Costco.  It will be much more relaxing from here on out and no more hiding gifts, saying there's a birthday party and instead it's a baby shower and no more hiding baby shower notes.

It was a delight to surprise her!  I was sure she would get it figured out but Jeremiah and many others helped it all fall in place!!!!  Thanks everyone for keeping this a secret!  The kids and cousins knew for weeks already and they didn't say a word to her!!!!!

Hunter was a huge help by blowing up a lot of balloons!  Zayla helped too with the little details!

Between Pinterest and Amazon I've discovered that you can pretty much find anything!  When Hadassah mentioned a teddy bear themed shower weeks ago, I went with it!  I thought this was really cute to buy empty honey containers and we used them for cups!  My mom made brewed tea and we filled up the bears for drinks!

I'm not a Walmart shopper but I did find a few things there that added a cute touch to the party!  Blue cotton candy, blue Hershey kisses and chocolates (Easter colors are in the stores right now and it's easy to find pastels!).

My cousins Ashley made the adorable cookies!!!!  They were so cute and also so yummy!

Splatter Batter with Abbey made the cupcakes.  Again, just adorable!

Jody filled these little cups with a cheesecake shooter and we topped it with cool whip and a teddy graham!  You could go on and on with the cute things you find on Pinterest.  We also had a blue punch that hardly got touched but it was blue and tasted good!

Lots of veggies, fruits, chips and dip, blue popcorn, blue nerd clusters .... it all came together so cute!

I knew that Hadassah had an outfit that she wanted to wear for the shower but how do we get it here without her knowing it or missing it in her closet!  She told Jer that she's dropping off something to be altered and after some calls and plans, we had to let it go and just have her come as she is.  Then, after we surprised her, Jeremiah went back home for her outfit!  ðŸ¤£

Lots of family and friends!!!

Jess was in charge of some games and prizes.  So cute!!!!

I found some German Shepherd things on Amazon that I couldn't wait to gift to them!!!!

We CANNOT wait for this little baby to arrive!!!!

All the special people in her life are ready to spoil this baby!!!!

Three of Hadassah's friends are pregnant too!!!!  This is such a fun world!!!!

And Jess ... she helped me out a lot with this party!  What a best friend she's been to Hadassah over the years!!!!!

And we high fived .... We hoped to get Hadassah surprised and Jeremiah did such a good job with this!!!!  Congratulations you two!!!!!!

This is now the second party we threw for this baby!!!!!  Last fall, we had a baby reveal party with the Petersheim's and we were so happy to see the blue powder fill the sky!  It's a boy!!!!

We were to dress in else blue or pink ... whatever you thought the gender will be.  Austin even colored his hair blue.

We had one pink and one blue angel food cake plus pizza and wings to help celebrate!!!!!

This little guy is already so loved and we CANNOT to for his arrival!!!!!

My Valentine!!!!

Be My Valentine!!!!

I love Valentine's and so a few paper hearts get tapped on the walls and a rose candle is burned in the kitchen and we play love songs on the computer!!!!  I knew a Valentines date would not happen on Valentine's day because the boys and girls high school basketball teams made it to LBC for finals!!!!!  This was gonna be a fun night with our school family and the team!!!!

I could not resist the See's Candies brochure that got sent to us!  Mike grabbed some See's candy at the airport when we went on our football weekend and we loved it!  He grabbed another box on our way home!  So, when we were sent a brochure I knew he would love this for Valentines!!!!!

It's a huge, beautiful box full of delicious chocolates!!!!

And he came home with a heart shaped box of the best cupcakes for me and the kids!!!!!

I'm still enjoying the tulips but in a nice concert pot I scored from Fashion Cents!!!!!

Both the boys and girls high school basketball team made it to the finals at LBC!!!!  What an accomplishment!  Mike helps with the hustle chart and just helps Mike Schatzmann out where he can.  It's been a fun ride for Mike!

So proud of all these athletes!!!!!

Mike and I went out on Saturday night for dinner at 401 Prime and loved it!  We walked the mall and really enjoyed our evening together!

Happy Valentines my love!!!!!!
