Hershey Spa!

Daisy and Ashlyn both have birthdays in March.  Instead of a gift, gift, I decided to do an experience with the girls!!!!  I booked us a spa day in Hershey!!!!!

Us four girls left the house at 7:30 in the morning and grabbed some quick breakfast at Latte Luv and off to Hershey we went for the day!  It was our first time at this spa and it was lovely!!!!

We arrived and were each given a gown and rubber slip on shoes.  Hadassah and I got a massage.  Daisy got a pregnancy massage and Ashlyn got a facial!

Then three of us got manicures and Daisy got a moisturizing body wrap!

We were at Hershey Spa and there were free chocolates everywhere!  Then we all four got pedicures and chocolate scrubs!

We ate lunch at the Oasis and then sat by the outside pool!  It was so wonderful!!!!

We went back to the spa at 4:00 PM and sat in the steam room.  We laughed as the room filled up with so much steam that we couldn't even see each other!  We hit the shower rooms and headed back home to Gunnar and the boys!

This was a relaxing day and so fun!!!!!

June.

We flipped the calendar page and it says June on the top!  We are thinking all things summer now and the blooms in the kitchen are proving it!

The morning walks around the park paths are a favorite of mine!  Each season is so pretty here!

Austin's got a few more baseball games left.  He's really enjoyed his team and playing time!  I love to see the team gather for prayer before game time!

Mike just keeps me smiling!  I asked him to get my raised bed repaired so that I can plant my sunflower seeds in it!  He smiled and said that he asked our neighbor Jake if he can rent a small part of the field right behind our house so the kids can still hit balls in the back yard and so that he can surprise me with a field of sunflowers and zinnias.  Yesterday, he came into the driveway on a rented tractor from Esh Hardware so he can plow the field a little and then plant lots of seeds.  I was laughing at him!

We planted four big packs of Mammoth Sunflower and one large pack of zinnias.  We need more.  Probably double that amount will be about right.

After he plowed, him and I spread the seeds.

And look here!!!!  Because of a hard frost in April, all the orchards and fruit trees in our area have been hit hard and so many blooms froze.  We were so looking forward to a lot of fresh peaches from our two trees this summer but when the spray man came to spray the trees, he said he's not going to spray because there's no fruit.  It all froze.  How sad!!!!  How must it be for the big produce farmers that use this for income???  I was happy to see a few peaches hanging so it looks like they didn't all freeze!  We will appreciate every single one this summer!

These poppy flowers are so aggressive and beautiful and totally make my day each summer!

And these white peony's are from my plants!  I love these!

Hadassah wanted me to go along to the greenhouse to help her pick out some flowers!  Gunnar was so fun!

He's not walking yet but climbed right into the bottom shelf of the cart!!!!

Summer foods .... BLT's coming up and strawberry shortcake!

Gunnar got to go along to Austin's game and he wanted his grandpa to hold him when he wasn't coaching third base!

June is here and school is out and we are ready for summer fun!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend.

We headed for our favorite cabin in the woods over Memorial Day weekend!!!!  All my family was up!  We drove up Friday night and Mike and I served breakfast Saturday morning.  He's getting quite good on the grill by now!!!!

Brother John brought up raw oysters that they served for their meal!

We had delicious food all weekend!  Lot's of strawberries!

Baby Meredith was at the cabin for the first time!!!!  These two babies are so are cute!

Mom had the hummingbirds coming in tens to drink the food from the feeders!  They loved it and we loved watching the birds!!!!

We want to always remember the heroes of our country!!!!

We played a lot of games and LaVern's brought up the new Arch Duke game!  We had a blast with that game while it rained Saturday and Sunday at the cabin.

I went to A Peony Garden before track and field day this week and I could not leave these beautiful flowers flourishing at home alone!!!!  Look at these huge peonies!!!!!

And the garden is giving us lots of radishes that we took along to the cabin!

Here's the garden I bought the peony stems from!  It's so pretty!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin!  The kids played in the woods and lots of games and pickleball when it wasn't raining.  We came back home on Monday to a yard that needs mowed and a garden showing off its beauty!!!!

It's a boy!!!!

We could not be more thrilled than to love and invite another grandson into our lives this coming September!!!  Matthew and Daisy had a baby gender reveal and they squirted out blue spray!!!!

So exciting!!!!

We were to wear the color that we thought baby is.  Austin went all out and sprayed his hair blue and he wore blue.

Mike and I thought girl!!!!!

BUT ... boy it is and we are thrilled!!!!  Matthew made yummy peppers on the grill and we ate with the Herrs and our family!  What a gift of life!!!!

We cannot wait to love this little boy!!!!  Congratulations Matt and Daisy!
