We have a group of friends that all became good friends from going to the same church. Through the years, we went different paths but still remain great friends. We don't see these people every Sunday at church anymore but we make sure to get together at least a few times a year! We were texting around to try to get a date set to all go out for supper. Valentines seemed to be open for us all! Yeah!
We then set out to find a restaurant that would host 12 adults on Saturday night. We called many places on Monday and throughout the week but every place seemed to be full already! We laughed about making pizza be good enough. We did get a reservation made at a Japanese Restaurant where they make the food right in front of you but Mike was not sold. He wanted something with more class and a place where we could actually talk and fellowship.
On Saturday morning, Mike called me from the shop and said, "Hey, I'm going to call the owners son of Cork and Cap and see if they can't make any arrangements for us tonight.?." I laughed and said, "Go ahead and try." It wasn't long and he called me back and said we could go!!! What? Wow!!! I texted all the ladies right away and everyone was super pumped! We canceled our first reservation and I knew the whole night would be a different feel. A much better experience.
We arrived at the restaurant and we were all escorted to their upper room! There was a long table all spread with pretty fixings for us! We had the whole upper room of the restaurant to ourselves! The waitress did a great job! The food was fantastic! There was love songs playing in the background. Outside the snow and wind were howling. We took our time eating and the dessert options were outstanding! Mike and I shared a piece of key lime pie with hot coffee!
We always laugh and joke with these friends! This night, it was no different. It doesn't take us long to get caught up with our lives. These friends will always be special to us! Thanks to you all for making it such a fun night!!!
This will be a Valentines night we will never forget! It's going to be hard to top these arrangements!
