Labor Day Weekend ~ 2015

We spent the whole weekend in Ohio again over Labor Day.  We've been going out there for many years to play ball.  Mike really loves this tournament!  He played hard and got dirty and the Fisher's came home with the first place trophy!!!

We started out Friday at noon.  We made a quick stop at Chickfila and hit the highway.  Traveling with four children now is much more different than how it was when we first going out to this tournament.  First it was Hadassah and Matthew as a baby.  Then Ashlyn.  Now Austin.  The travels went well but it is still to the same motel.  The same ballpark.  The same distance.  The same old seven hours out and seven hours back!!!  Mike and I concluded that "we did this now".  :)))  Maybe it's time for something else?!?

At any rate, the ball team played well all weekend!!!  It was so hot and dry!  Playing in that heat makes for some tired men, children and wives!  :)  I tried to pick the shady spots for Austin's sake!  He did great and slept for many of their games.  I did feel so bad for him though because he came home with his first cold.  I guess from going in and out of heat and AC was too much for him!?!

Our family stayed in a king suite room.  The girls slept on the pull out sofa.  Matthew was on a cot.  Baby in the pack and play.  Mike and I in the big bed!  It did work well!  We all kinda had our spots to get dressed and sleep!  :)  The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and lobby at the motel too!

The evening games were fun but the mosquitoes were terrible!  With the warm sun down, it was better for the baby's!!! 

Up to bat ... Mike!  He is usually number 44 but had to go with 20 for the weekend.

To stay clean is not an option!  The kids had fun!

So much water was drank because the tempts were in the 90's all weekend.  Matthew goes with his daddy to all the practices and games!  :)

While I was sitting under the shade trees while Austin napped, this yellow bird came to have his lunch.  It was eating the pine cone and was very entertaining for me!!!

Ashlyn had a blast with the Fisher girls. 

Anna played ball out there to and Hadassah watched some of her games.  When her team was out of the tournament, these two got to spend most of their time together.

The Fisher's won first place!!!!  It was so hot and the guys were tired!  They were so happy to have played well all weekend!  This was the Fisher's third year in a row to win it out there but it was Mike's first year helping them!  He now has a first place win for Ohio!!!

The guys had a lot of fun together playing.  Nate is pushing Mike around!

Andy doesn't where a hat very often, so when he did put one on for a few seconds, the camera's were shooting!!!  :)

 

My beloved husband played so well all weekend.  He played left field with only three outfielders!!!  He caught many balls and made great plays!  His hitting was good too!  He even had an over the fence home run!!!  I love to watch him play ball!!!

 

Austin dear did so well.  He decided to sleep through the hot afternoons!  He did come home with his first cold though.  I guess with going from hot to AC did not treat him well.  Sad.  Here he is taking a good nap!

 Way to go Fisher's!!!  It was a fun but tiring weekend!!!  We are so happy to have yet another first place win!!!
