We have been going and going and been busy with summer activites. So much so that we decided to stay home from small groups on Wednesday night. Mike and I were still recovering from lose of sleep with the moutains trip with the class of 2016. It felt good to just be at home and relax. To watch the kids play in the back yard. However, Mike started to feel sick. His chest was achy. He started to feel like he was getting the flu.
We went for a walk and when we got back, Mike took a bath. That's when he saw a bulls eye rash around his previous tick bite. He had a deer tick bite about two weeks ago. I pulled it out of his side without a problem. He checked it a few days later and it looked fine ... until now! He noticed a rash was beginning. He didn't say anything to me about the rash and went to bed. He knew I would be concerned and advice him to get to the doctor. He laid in bed shaking with chills. Feeling achy all over. His head was hurting. He couldn't get warm enough. I was concerned and prayed that he would feel better in the morning. He feel asleep but didn't sleep good. He kept waking up with chills and then hot. He took some Alieve and Mike does not take any sort of meds unless it's bad!!!
He woke up Thursday morning not well. He went to the shop and there he talked to Matt Lapp and he told him about his rash. Matt adviced to go get it checked out. Meanwhile, I was at home cleaning and then headed to the pool with the kids. I texted Mike later in the afternoon to see how he was feeling.?. He texted back that he was at the doctors office. WHAT???? Again, Mike doesn't just go to the doctor unless it's urgent or serious! I tried to call him. No answer. I tried again and he answered this time and said that they just drew blood to see if he has Lymes. He then said that he saw a rash on his side and he was getting it checked out!!! I was shocked! We took the rash as a blessing though because it made the diagnosis much easier!
Mike is now on antibiotics for Lymes Disease. The doctor said that they would call in five days to give him the blood work results. Thursday and Friday, Mike was SO, SO SICK!!!! Chills, fever, sweating, headache, achey, tired, not hungry, low energy!!! It all hit him at once so fast!!!
Saturday morning he woke up feeling much better. The prayers are being answered. The meds are doing their job! The Lymes is being attached!!! He had to change his shirt during the night three times because of his sweat! :////
Mike is on the road of recovery and is doing much better now!!! We are still praying that this would leave his body as fast as it came!!! He will take his meds until they are all gone and then do a cleanse to get rid of those antibiotics in his body!!!
Join us in praying for a complete recovery!!!
