We are in the hot days of summer but we are loving it!!! With a cooler Spring, we couldn't wait for the weather to turn into "pool weather" and get started on our golden summer tans!!! On Friday we made our first visit to Nickle Mines Pool! We have a family pass this summer for this pool, so we will be there a lot!!! We hope!!! :)))
We started off with the usual suntan lotion rubs. Then put the floats on the little people and everyone went off to swim. Austin loved the kiddie pool!!! He stayed at one spot for a long time but then he noticed that Ashlyn was walking around the pool water and so he tried too. He did pretty good. He didn't mind his purple puddle jumper either! Yeah!!! :) He enjoyed the pool toys and soaked in the sunshine!
I only packed a few snacks. Watermelon being one of them. I figured with it being our first pool visit for the summer, we would buy our lunch there. Great food!!!
Then we were pleasantly surprised by cousins showing up at the pool!!! Ashlyn and Sophia love to swim together!!! And I made it clear that we will NOT being getting ring pops with every visit we make!!!
Austin and Felicia have become such great friends. She stayed at our house often while Linda worked at her job. They love to play together and I love to watch them talk and interact with each other!!!

Pool side break time!!!
Then today, Annie called and invited us to come to her pool!!! We love her pool to and the kids were super excited to swim with Sierra and Dylan!!! Then Jody's kids came for awhile and that made it even more fun!!!
I think Ashlyn will be swimming by the time summer is over? She likes the water and it will be just a few practises before she is off swimming all by herself!
Austin calls all three of Jody's girls "Meg and Mel" or "Mel". :))) He loved that Morgan pushed him around the swimming pool and played with him!
Then Tyler dove into the pool and his goggles cracked leaving a bunch of little plastic pieces at the bottom of the pool. The boys swept the bottom and dove down to make sure all the pieces were picked up!!! We sure would not want any holes in Annie's pool liner!!!
Summer time is for swimming and enjoying the outdoors!!! Thank you Annie for inviting us to come over!!! Now we are off to watch Matthew play lots of baseball tonight. I don't ever remember Matthew having three games in one night ... but here goes!!! In the hot weather!!!!
