Real Life: October 2023

Date night on the golf course!

The weather has been on repeat all week long and I just lovvveeedddd it!!!! It's not normal for us to have upper 70s and even in the 80 degrees in October and that's what we had all last week! Every day was just beautiful! I can't seem to get over the beauty of this fall! The trees are in full color and the moon was full and it was absolutely the best weather!

We invited Brian and Erica Allain to join us at the Club on Friday night and we walked the golf course, looked at the colorful leaves and enjoyed their company over dinner! The night was perfect with a full moon and we sat outside to eat in short sleeves ... all on an October evening!

The love of my life .... I love you Mike!!!!

Mike set down a golf ball and handed me the driver. He said I want you to give it a swing. I laughed and walked up to the ball, swung and it was a really good drive! I surprised myself and everyone else! 😂

Cherry Crest Adventure Farm ~ 3rd grade.

I hopped along on the third grade field trip last Thursday and it was such a fun, good day!!! Adrian was in my group with Austin and we had the best time!

Four boys were under my watch and we went from one event on the farm to the next. It was a warm, gorgeous autumn day and I treated them all with slushies! We held baby chicks!

They loved the slides!!!!

There's so much to do on this farm and it's the perfect place for a field trip!!!!

The weather was unbelievable and we ended in tank tops and in front of the misting fan!

Austin is enjoying third grade and he has some really cool friends in his class! It was such a blast trying to keep up with them on this warm day! Their favorite was the ball toss event! You could throw a baseball against a big mat and it told you how fast your throw was. Austin and Adrian both threw a 41 miles per hour! They were the top numbers! They loved that!

This was a very fun day!

Autumn memories.

I've got my eye of this tree every time I walk at the park! Watching the leaves change colors is so beautiful!

We put in our first seasonal puzzle for the fall/winter and it's going to be a fun one!!!!

I've talked about walking through our little town and see the beauty of autumn and when Zayla came over last Wednesday, I took her with me! We strolled the village of Kitchen Kettle and fed the goats and enjoyed the lovely weather outdoors! This girl is the sweetest and we love her so much!

We had our first frost. Gardening of 2023 is now over.

I planted tulips in the garden beds and hope to see them next spring!

Ginger ... she's now 13 years old. I never would have dreamt of having a house dog for that long but she's still here and living the best life. She's cared for, she's much older now but still in good health. We love this dog!

Fall in it's splendor!

We have had the most beautiful fall weather and color!!!! Dahlias are the popular flowers these days and I can totally understand why! Look at their beauty! Lena dropped this huge boutique off for me and it's so stunning!!!! I could just stare at each stem and I see God's creation all over this bouquet! I just love it!

And the morning skies are unreal beautiful!

My lilac bush is in full bloom. I think the warmer, fall weather had this confused but I'm loving it! It smells wonderful!

The woods are full of color everywhere I drive!

Mike loves to take Arie out for walks and usually I go along! We walk up to the ridge behind our property and she follows us. Ashlyn and Austin tag along too! Everyone loves it and the evening sky was gorgeous!!!!
