We spent Thanksgiving Weekend with my entire family at the cabin!!!! We have spent three weekends of November at the cabin and loved every minute of it but this was extra special to have everyone but Ashlyn with us there!
Ashlyn got invited a few weeks ago to go spend the weekend in a cave in Ohio with church friends! She loved it!
Here's what was happening at the cabin! Hunters went out into the woods every day and there were 5 does and 2 bucks shot!!!! Brother John got the biggest buck and it's a massive 9 point!!!!
These future hunters are still young but Wyatt shot a 5 point buck and Colson shot a doe!!!! Way to go boys!!!!
The camp lights up with excitement when we hear that another deer is down!!!!
There's always lots of food there and John Mike smoked cream cheese and topped it with pepper jam. The breakfasts are always a big deal at the cabin!!!!
Watching these boys make so many memories in these woods is the best dream for any boy!!!! I love to watch them build forts and teepees and make campfires and shot BB guns. It's what every boy dreams of!
Nothing like dripping blood from a deer heart in the cabin kitchen when the hunters shot a deer!
Puzzles were put together! Games were played every single night late into the night. My mom, Hadassah and Jody had a crying fit at 1 AM in the hallway! Nada and Daisy worked on some of their knitting projects. Dozens of eggs were fried. Pans of scrapple and bacon were made on the grill. Snacks and clementines and smoked cream cheese were all favorites! The cabin life is so wonderful! And, once again, my parents are always the best of hosts!!!!! Thank you Mom and Dad!!!!
We did get a quick moment to take down the fall decorations in the house and move into the Christmas spirit before leaving for the cabin! It feels so good to add twinkling lights and flickering candles to our home!
I had the kids rolls the porch pumpkins into the field and they smashed them out there! We are moving on to Christmas decor!
Christmas is coming and we are preparing!!!! We are very thankful to God for all our blessings!!!
