I knew it was gonna be a crazy week. When this happens I just have to take a deep breath and focus on one thing a time. After hosting the youth group on Sunday night, we got the house cleaned up before heading off to Jim Thorpe on Monday morning. We visited this cute little town Monday and Tuesday and really enjoyed our time together, just Mike and I! We came back to the kids and off we went first thing Wednesday morning to Austins class chapel! They did an amazing job and Austin was one of the characters and did great!
They surprised us and the seniors all came walking in for the last song! So cool!
And because we were not home on Monday and Tuesday, this little guy got to follow his momma to volleyball practice. Looks like he's just fine!
Then as soon as chapel was over, I went flying up to The Star Barn for the Women's Wellness Collective Day! The day was packed with great speakers and a timely reminder of how important rest is in our lives!
Meanwhile, the kids loved having Mommy at school with them on grandparents day!
By Thursday morning, I was so ready to walk the park paths again! This is such a refreshing time for me!
And I was finally back with my little buddy! Our grandson Gunnar is pure joy!
I did pick up some fresh grape juice and Hadassah came over to help jar it up! For the first we tried the white juice! It's delicious!
My family planned to take Dad out for his birthday but because we were already not available to watch Gunnar the beginning of the week, Mike went to the girls volleyball game instead. The girls made it so districts and this is a big game. But I was able to join my family and we ate good meats and I made it back to the game just in time to watch the winning game! Happy Birthday Dad!
I'm feeling like a grandma now that we pull out the old sassy seat and white tipped baby spoon that I used for my babies! Gunnar can now sit in this seat well and loves to do patty cake!
Those first tastes of sweet potatoes and squash are so funny to watch! So many faces he makes!
I'm ready to slow down! I'm looking forward to a restful weekend! Life is full and so sweet!
