Ashlyn is 32 weeks old today and she is a true delight. She looked so cute in her little pink dress yesterday at her Aunt Anna Ruth's wedding! (More about the wedding on down!) When someone else is holding Ashlyn and she notices me in the crowd, she starts this little whine and wants me! That makes me feel good and proud that I am her #1 pick! Her daddy comes close to tying that sometimes!
She goes from a sitting position to a knee position now. She thinks she is big stuff when she leans against her entertaining block on her knees and reaches her toys on top! She goes on her fours when she crawls and just rocks. Then she goes to her normal position and pulls her little, chubby body around wherever she wants to go!
Ashlyn's first taste of pizza!!! Crust only!
We had a very busy and fun day yesterday! Congratulations to John Ervin and Anna Ruth!!!!!!!!!! Anna Ruth is Mike's youngest sister and sweet as ever! The weather was perfect!!! Her wedding theme of palm leaves and pink and green colors and some fresh orchid arrangements were all so pretty! Because this was an Amish wedding, I knew it was going to be a long day for everyone in our family! Mike and I were "eck tending" ... meaning we help serve the bridle party. Hadassah was to help with receiving the gifts, but I think the crowd kinda scared her away and she stayed close to my side. Matthew was a guest that sure got his fill of homemade donuts and chips and candy and a few bites of lunch and supper that I hoped would help fill his belly and not just sweets all day long! Ashlyn did pretty good too. I was glad that my parents were invited for the wedding and mom took care of Ashlyn for most of the day! Thanks mom!
We got to the wedding around 7:45 and helped with the bridal party foods and drinks and anything else that they got served! There was sooooo much food all day long! At 9:00 PM, I felt so tired and was ready to call it a day and come back home and relax and sleep! The kids had a blast with their cousins and were so tired and dirty! We love our extended family and I have a great set of in-laws!!!
These are our three cuties!!!
After John Ervin and Anna Ruth were married, the kids ran around outside and got so dirty.
Hadassah and Jeffrey workin' the camera!!!
It's amazing how decent this picture actually got after all the donuts and cookies and dirt!
The babies don't look too impressed but it's what it is ... memories!
... Anna Ruth's nieces and nephews with the Lapps ...
We had family from Florida come this past weekend for the wedding! We don't get to see them near as much as we would like to but with them living so far south, that's just how it is. We couldn't wait to see them again and of course my kids were planning to spend as much time as possible with the boys!
They stayed at our house Saturday night and even though Ben won our one settlers game, it was fun!
We were together with the Lapp family at Steve and Linda on Sunday night. Thanks for having the crew Linda!
Tuesday at the wedding, Jeffrey and Hadassah hung out together all day and Jeremy and Matthew are buddies! I told Matthew that there would be lots of donuts and sweets at the wedding and warned him that he could only have 2 donuts! He decided that he would eat his two donuts right away and have that done! (Only Matthew!!!) After lunch, I caught him and Jeremy sneaking out the side door with both of their hands full on donut holes. At least 5 each! I wasn't very happy and made sure he didn't eat those! It did look hilarious though! Boden grew so tall since the last we seen him and he had fun playing with Landon and Celine!
Weddings are work and there so much setting up, tearing down, organizing food for so many people and I think John Ervin and Anna Ruth and dad's did a great job!!!
"Wishing you many blessed years of marriage and fun to you John Ervin and Anna Ruth!"
