Mike helped the "Fishers" this past weekend in a ball tournament. It started on Friday night with a game at 9 PM for the team. They won. They played well and they have a great team!!!
Saturday morning, Mike's next game wasn't until 11 AM. Early that morning, Hadassah, Jody and I went to our all time favorite yard sale!!! We absolutely love the Bel Air Development Yard Sale! There are tons and tons of sales and we take one street at a time and drive up and down and get out and shop!!! :) It's a real blast!!! We found some great deals too! I was happy with another nice umbrella stroller for our toddler and upcoming newborn!!! :) We got some clothes, a closet organizer and egg rolls!!! We love "the Chinese lady with a hat" egg rolls!!! We look for her at big yard sales because most times she is there!!! I got one dozen plus a big box of fried rice that we all enjoyed later that evening!!! Meanwhile, Mike and Matthew dropped Ashlyn off at Lena's and headed for the park for a day of many ball games!
It was such lovely weather and the team was undefeated. Matthew played with friends at the park. Ben Wayne, a boy who plays on his little league team, was a fun friend most of the day. They hit balls, hung out with the team and Mike and explored the park! Ashlyn got dirty in the dirt while watching by the bleachers. I propped my feet and watched and cheered. Hadassah and Anna cheered too! :) It was a fun afternoon/evening.
Sunday morning, the girls and I went to church. It was a special service planned out by the young married. They served coffee and donuts when we arrived. They had a special children's story time. We sang praise and worship. Lance had a message from the Lord about "a man after God's own heart." He challenged us with some ways that gave King David this life long title! Then we finished the morning with eating fellowship meal at church.
We rushed home to make it in time for Mike's next game. Leanne came with us! Hadassah is always wanting to have a friend along! :) Thanks for hanging out with us Leanne! You are sweet!
The "Fisher's" had their first lost in the afternoon and so they had game after game to make it to the finals. They did finish in second place!!! Good job guys and great playing Mike!!! The sun was hot all day and we all now have a summer color!!! Mike was exhausted by the evening but he amazes me that he still takes the time to throw, pitch and catch with the kids in the back yard. He was so ready to relax but instead they all hit buckets of balls! I pushed Ashlyn on the swings and spent the evening with each other in the back yard! Love warm Spring nights!!! Ashlyn begged for a campfire yet, but it was bed time!
My man ... he loves to play ball!!! He's good at it too!
Little Miss kept getting in my photo's! :)Waiting for another game.
High fives after finishing in second place.
Hadassah and Leanne.
Yes, we must always have a crazy photo!
I'm glad we don't spend every weekend at the ball parks but we had a blast this weekend! Watching the kids play and have fun while plays his favorite sport is a great time! (It's hard for me to get any pics of Matthew on a weekend like this because he's out and about! He loves to be with the team and his dad but also loves to go play with friends.)
Thank you Lord for your protection and for the sunny sunshine all weekend!!!
