We got more snow!!!! We are over the top excited to have more snow falling outside!!!! It's not every December that we get snow before Christmas Day. This meant that we had our first "snow day" with school and the kids stayed home Wednesday and Thursday! 2020 did bring us ways to do school virtual now and I was happy to hear that we won't be tagging two days on at the end of the school year!!!
While the kids did school by the dining room table, I filled up the kitchen counter with more peanut butter chocolate crackers for our employee banquet that's coming up!
And, they are still unwrapping one book a day!
Some liked school at home, others were really ready for it to be over! :)
Here is the school room for today!
When Ashlyn heard about the snow in the forecast, she suggested that we make snow cones like Grouper did in the movie The Grinch by Dr. Sues. I found an easy recipe on Pinterest that included Kool Aid, sugar and boiling water. We raced to the grocery store to grab us some kool aid packs and we home to mix up a batch of snow cone syrup while the snow gets deeper outside!
Another fun thing that we are all into these snowy days are Art Hubs art! It's so fun to draw step by step!
Here are some drawings we did!
The forecast is saying 8-12 inches of snow but as soon as the snow cone mixture cooled, they were outside serving themselves snow cone treats!!!
Just love these two!!!!! They are a blast!
Four different flavors.
They came inside to warm up and we tried out the new marshmallows from Costco on top of our hot chocolates!
Then Matthew got on the four wheeler now the the snow is deeper and gave the kids sled rides.
We just go from one project to the next and Ashlyn headed up making gingerbread houses.
Again, I found myself adding these cute Peppermint Meltaway Cookies to the employee banquet list. These are easy to make and so yummy! They make a cookie platter look so nice!
We had our employee banquet at this gorgeous location last night and it was so fun!
Mike saw this eagle and look what photo he captured! So cool!
While the little were making snow cones at home, these three were sledding with friends!
Lena made and brought us warm stickies! I made a batch of gingerbread biscottis!
The kitchen is busy these days!
Then the cousins from out the road came over and the rode our little sleds down our little front lawn hill! It's perfect for the younger ones because you don't have far to walk back up to the top!
Zayla, just hung out on the living room floor while we were sledding outside.
These cold, snowy days are making us tired but so many memories are being made!!!! I love it!!!!
