Cooking Class and Florence.

Waking up in Tuscany, at this place, is literally a dream come true!!!!  It is so pretty here!

The pool is gorgeous and there are acres and acres of grape vineyards and olive groves all around us!

This eating place is so pretty too!  Every morning, there is a spread of fresh croissants and yogurt and fruits all served with housemade drinks!  The cappuccino is amazing!

We slept with the bedroom window open a bit and hearing the grape vine pickers out in the morning was actually so neat!

Where we are staying has a lot of old artifacts and interesting art work!  Huge olive oil jars are in the air and of course so many rows of grapes just everywhere!

The dear sisters that run the hamlet, had us lined up for a fun cooking class on day two!  We suggested this and they made all the reservations!  We drove off in the mini Cooper whinding through the tuscan valley!

It was only Mike and I in the class that day.  The dear Italian lady was all into it.  She said she had a class of over 20 people the other day and she likes smaller classes best!

We mixed dough and rolled it out.  Filled it with Ricotta cheese and lemon zest.  We made different varieties and just had fun!

We had pasta in sage butter sauce and a marinara pasta.

We made our own tiramisu for dessert!  Everything was just so good!!!!

We went back to Fattoria La Loggia and sat by the pool!  The day was perfect!

That night we drove the mini Cooper into Florence to explore that city.  The Statue of David Museum was closed but there are many other statues that look the same.  We parked at the big parking lot and walked down into the city.  More old bridges and buildings and lots of people!

Ponte Vecchio Bridge is an old historic bridge we got to see and walk on!

You can see little wine windows in the town.

We ate dinner outside looking over the city of Florence.

We drove back to the hamlet satisfied and just loving being with each other!  We opened up the anniversary wine bottle that was gifted to us and the housemade fixed us some cheese and grapes.  This was another wonderful day in Italy !
