Easter weekend at the cabin!!!

We just got back from spending the entire weekend at the cabin for Easter!!!  My family all gathered in Dad's cabin and we celebrated Easter together.

The reason we celebrate is to rejoice that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and then rose again so that we can one day live with Him forever!!!

Thank you Jesus!!!

The kids enjoy the outdoors so much!!!  Here the older ones went on the hike and all came back with hiking sticks!!!

The cabin is a place where we relax a lot too!!!  Lot's of books and games!!!

Snuggles with baby Warren.

Mommy D.!!!

Ashlyn had a birthday over the weekend, so we had a party for her up there too!!!

I boiled a bunch of eggs and the children dyed them and decorated each egg.  So fun!!!

Mom sent the older ones out to hide plastic eggs.  Then the hunt began for the little ones.

Each year, my parents give out chocolate bunnies to each grandchild.  Mom also had three different candy guessings for us ladies.  One was a big frying pan filled with Hershey kisses.  Another one was a small pan filled with peanut butter robin eggs.  And another drinking container filled with robin eggs.  I didn't win any of them but it was still fun to guess.

Little lambs for the little ones!!!

And before heading home this morning, we woke up to this.  Snow???  It was pretty but goodness, it's now April 2!!!  Let Spring, spring!!!

We took the little jeeps along this time to the cabin and the kids went round and round the cabin with these!!!  It was too adorable!!!

Ashlyn turns 7!!!

What a wonderful day to celebrate Ashlyn's 7th birthday!!!  She was excited all week and got to celebrate her special day on different occasions.  What a blast!!!

We started her birthday parties on Tuesday at school.  Her request was for me to bring in white, powered donuts.  It wasn't my choice of a snack but it was easy and she was super excited to hang out her easy sweets to her classmates.

Then on Wednesday evening, we celebrated Ashlyn's birthday as a family.  Normally, the birthday child gets to choose a restaurant and then an easy event after wards.  This time Ashlyn picked DJ's 50's Diner but they were already closed for the evening and so we went to Red Robin for great burgers and onion rings.

We rushed through our dinner so we could be on time for a movie we went to go watch in the theaters.  The trailer we watched earlier in the afternoon for Sherlock Gnomes seemed like a good choice.  It looked funny and cute but the movie did have some two creatures that were not nice and the whole movie was much different than I expected.  We still sat there munching on popcorn and trying to find the best, funny points of in the movie.

And now today, her official birthday, we celebrated once again with cousins at the cabin!!!  We had a birthday party for her at the cabin and it was fun for her to sit together with all her girl cousins, having a good time.

And here are the guests!!!

 Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!
