January days ... some are snowy and some are warmer.

We had the most beautiful winter sunset the other night!!!  These are straight from the camera!

These winter skies are pretty!!!

The puzzle is all completed and now I'm ready to start another!!!

So this is January right????  We've been blessed with such a nice January and the weather was unseasonably warm a few times!  Just this past Sunday we had 60 degrees!!!!  The kids played outside and I dreamed it was Spring!  Then I sat on the front porch all afternoon, barefoot and with a blanket while Mike went to the driving range and Matthew was shooting hoops in the driveway!!!  What a gorgeous January day of clear blue skies and warmer!

Meanwhile, Hadassah was at her first PA Elite Volleyball tournament for 2020!  Her and Jess are still able to play this sport together and they work hard on the same team!!!!!  Love these girls!!!!

I drove up to Latte Luv the other day on way to Matthew's basketball game and they now have their Valentine Drinks on the board!!!!  I can say no to many of the normal drinks but give me one of each of these please!!!!!  I think they have the best ever Valentine Drinks!!!!!!!

Ill be back!!!!!

Matthew's been working his butt off at basketball!!!  He has else after school practice or a game almost every day!  We love to go watch his game and be the cheerleaders!!!!

The Warriors have been playing great and I think they are 6-2 now!!!!

I bought this little honey jar at Target and it's from Heart and Hearth and we are loving it!!!!  I always wanted a honey dipping stick and it's just a lot more tasty now with using this for our teas!  Or just licking it!!!!  :))))  My dad used to take the honey jar and fill up a spoon and put it straight into his mouth.  Or he would spread it on warm toast.  As a kid I used to think it looked so good but thought it tasted so horrible!  I do like honey now but preferably in tea!!!!

Snow fell from the skies the other day and we had some pretty excited kids in the house!!!!  School was delayed two hours and it was the perfect way to get the kids out for some fresh air and enjoy the snow before heading off to school!

Austin and Adrian even got to play outside together for a bit!!!!

Austin plays.  But not really with toys.  He's got a stash of dress up clothes, gadgets, spears and a sling shot that he uses to play David and Goliath.  Or a pair of rabbit ears to play Peter Rabbit.  Now he's got my sun hat with my winter beanie wrapped over top of it and pretends to be Pattington.  He's always some kind of character.

While Mike was out of town for a night, Ashlyn and I squished in the living room chair and cut out paper snowflakes!!!  I just love to make these for some odd reason and we laughed as each shape turned out differently!!!!  Just like in real life right?

More basketball games!!!

 It's a score!!!!

Oh boy ... this was not a fun night!!!!  We had the kids tucked into bed and at 11:30 PM Ashlyn woke up running to the bathroom.  She threw up in the toilet.  That was a good thing except that the toilet in the hallway bath doesn't flush right.  The lid broke the other day and we have JM Lapp schedule to out and fix the lid and figure out why it doesn't flush right.  Now what?  We tried to flush it down but it was gross.  I helped Ashlyn to the couch and soon she threw up again.  And again.  Three times and now with diarea.  I started the tub water and she got in to take a bath but when went to turn off the water, it wouldn't stop coming!  Mike got out of bed and he tried.  He took the facaet apart and we finally tried to call Matt Lapp but ended up turning off the water.  I was not cool with that at all because what if we needed to flush the toilets after another vomit or more poops???

I laid on the couch and prayed myself to sleep as Ashlyn laid on the other couch!  I prayed that she wouldn't throw up again and that we would all sleep well until morning!!!

And we did!!!!  No more throwing up!!!!  Ashlyn seemed much betther by the next day and I'm very thankful that no one else caught this bug!!!

I love Saturday afternoons!!!!!  We started this when Austin was a baby and even though it doesn't happen every Saturday, I love it!!!!  Mike stays home with the little ones while I go out alone!  Some just me time!!!  I grabbed a late lunch at Panera, swung by Goodwill and Fashion Cents and then back home!!!  The time goes by quickly and sometimes it's just for an hour or two but did I mention that I love this???!!!!!

Last week the Yukon was in the garage getting an inspection.  On Wednesday, I was home purging and cleaning out closets!  Thursday I cleaned the house thoughly and went through the toys!  By Friday the Yukon was still not back and I was ready to get out of the house!  I called up my mom and asked if she's coming my way!?!  Her and Ruth were out and about so Austin and I hopped along!  It was fun and the day was another warmer, January day!  Short sleeves, shorts and spikes was perfect on this day!

This was me on Sunday afternoon!!!!!

Ashlyn was on the skateboard.

Austin was riding his bike and playing Pattington but this time he was the explorer!

And here's another one of these two at the volleyball tournament!

I've been grocery shopping at Shady Maple the past few weeks because they have a wonderful produce section and I love fennel!!!!  I buy about six of these vegetables a week!!!  We love them raw with carrots and celery sticks!!!!  It's a great healthy was to eat veggies!  Felicia was at our house and so she got to ride along!!!!

These two have a blast together!!!!!!

On Sunday night, Lena invited us out to their house for wings and to watch the Chiefs football game!!!!  It's then that she gave this shirt to Ashlyn!!!!!

We couldn't be more excited for them!!!!  Baby number 4 will arrive in August!!!  Ashlyn cannot wait to be another cousin!!!!!

Winter. 2020.

Here goes with another blog post from my phone. 🥴 I don’t know why it downloads my photos in a shuffle but oh well. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted and I lots to record!!!!

My family is totally cracking up at me with my winnings the past few months! There are lots of giveaways over the holidays and I’ve been a winner like 5 different times!!! 🤭 my recent win is a pretty clutch bag with Senagence makeup!!! I’ve used this makeup for about a year now and I love it!!! So much of it is on my personal “in my mind” wishlist!!!! I’m thinking about using some of my Christmas money to buy a few more products! This makeup lasts all day long, it dies not rub off on your fillers or clothes and it last like forever!!! A little goes a long way! When I tried the shadow sense product I won, I told Hadassah that it will last me until I die!!! I only used a teeny bit and had a lot of color on my eye lids!!! The gift was such a wonderful gift and I love it!!!!

I’m not a red lipstick girl just yet!!! This was fun to wear around the house and just see if it’s actually my color! Hadassah thought it looked good! I might just have to use it over valentines?!!!!

Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!

Basketball season is in full swing and Matthew loves it!!!! I’m excited to go cheer again tonight for him as he plays!!!!

Another batch of fresh Florida oranges and grapefruits was gifted to us!!! One of Mikes shed dealers always blesses us with these each year!!!

Austin wanted to take pictures of me at the last basketball game.

Twice over the holidays I went to get a massage because of soreness in my neck and hip. Thankfully both times I left there feeling much better! While Beulah treated me, she mentioned something about fish tacos. I was all ears and asked how she makes them! I came home inspired and after church on Sunday we came home not having a clue what was going to be for lunch!!! I thought of the tacos!!! I grabbed some fish sticks out of the freezer and stuck them in the oven. We didn’t have hard tacos on hand so I took a quick peek on Pinterest and found that if you place a soft tortilla over your oven rack inside, bake it for a few minutes, it turns into a delicious crunchy taco shell!!!! Perfect!!!! These turned out really yummy and the family loved them!!!!!

I started this reading plan for the new year and I have never  read  through the Bible in chronological order. It’s very inspiring!!!! You should join me!!!!

Jenna has this posted the other day and I love these girls so much!!!!!

Yep, the Christmas tree got moved outside and put outback to burn. But the other day the wind took it into the neighbors field. I was going to go chase it when the weather gets a bit warmer but now just this morning, the neighbor spread manure all over his field, including our Christmas tree!!!! 🤪

Slime ... I hate the stuff!!! But the kids received some over the holidays and I think he looks like the Kentucky Fried Chicken man!!?!!! 😂

I’ll take it!!!!

Well it’s January and the month to purge and rid of things we don’t use, need or want!!! I love to do this and I’ve been doing a bit each day!!! Today I have a load to take to Fashion Cents!!!

January has been going fast so far and I’m grateful for that!!! Winter days can move along as fast as they want because I’m always so ready for spring time!!!

One thing I love to do only in the winter months is puzzles!!! We finished the first one the other night and we love this puzzle picture!!!!

Winter is my time to kick back and stay indoors! To organize. To go through the closets. To clean deep! To rid. To sip hot drinks! To work on puzzles. Read. Blog!!!!

Have a great day!!! The sun is shining here and that energizes me!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!

2020 is here!  How can this be?  I remember thinking 2000 was a milestone and here we are already twenty years later!!!!  Wow!

John and Suz invited this clan over to their house to cheer the New Year in!!!!  We had a blast playing Dutch Blitz and Code Names as we waited for midnight to strike!  Thanks guys!

The night got late and we laughed and had a good time!!!!

I didn't have any resolutions written down yet and I'm praying for a 2020 word of the year!  I started this only a few years ago and I like it!  A word to ponder on throughout the year!  I did find myself yesterday writing down some thoughts and maybe I'll just use this for my New Years Resolutions!!!???

Our Christmas vacation from school went by fast!  I think maybe the milder weather had something to do with that!?!  Normally, I have that one day when I'm ready to send the kids back to school and clean up the house!  I didn't have one of those days this vacation!!!!  That's a good thing because that means the kids played nice and were entertained without stressing me out!  I did have the clean itch though!!!!  On Tuesday, I woke up feeling like the house needed a good going over!  Gifts needed to be put in their places and the dried up greens needed to be thrown out.  I skipped cleaning the house last week and so I felt like it should have a good scrub down too!  I got started with this first thing and I am addicted to that "clean house feeling"!!!!  I just love it!  I ended up going from room to room and cleaning it well!  Christmas décor were put away that was in the bedrooms.  I still have a few greens around the tree is still in the living room.  Boy, the floors were dirty and the carpets needed swept!!!!!

Mike was home working in the basement.  He's always got some sort of project going on around here and they include wood!  This time he's making a wine cellar in the basement where my cellar once was.  He's lining it with wood and it's beginning to look really nice!!!!

I totally could not keep track of the days anymore.  Everything was all running together.  When I cleaned on Tuesday I was thinking the entire day that it was Wednesday.  Then on Wednesday I was confused.  Today is normally my cleaning day here at home but because I already did that this week, it's time to work on this blog and on the puzzle!!!!  I don't like when I get too behind on the blog posts and it was time to sit down and journal!

I won again!!!!  Last night as I hopped in bed, I told Mike I was a winner again!  He high fived me and laughed.  Now what did you win he asked?  I started using Senagence Makeup about a year ago and I won some Shadowsence products plus a few other items from a Instagram giveaway!!!!  I'm excited to try the Shadowsence because I don't have any just yet!  The few products I do have, I love!!!!

Today the kids went back to school even though Ashlyn was in tears about this the other day.  She didn't want vacation to end and I don't blame her too much.  She really enjoyed her time off of school but there's always a time to get back to normal!!!!  I like normal days and it feels right to have Austin and I be the only ones here at home today!

This is January now.  This is winter time.  The time where I clean out closets and take things to Fashion Cents.  The time I sit down to work on a puzzle or read or take a nap.  It's the only season that I let my lazy bones exist!  The blue birds are here and they make me so happy!!!  It's time to hibernate inside and sip on warm drinks!  I wish for snow!  I like fresh fallen snow!!!  With winter now on my mind, I'd like to do some winter crafts for décor.  Maybe just cut out a few more paper snowflakes or something simple like that!

Happy Winter everyone!!!!  May your family stay healthy and thriving all winter long!
