Fall is in the air.

The garden in the fall is beautiful.  Plants are finishing up their foods and I'm slowly cleaning and pulling out plants.  The cucumbers are finished and pulled out.  The tomatoes are now out of the garden as well.

The fall radishes are so big and beautiful!  I came inside with a sink full of fresh produce!

I already made salsa and canned it.  I also made fresh juice so I decided to roast these tomatoes.  I mixed them with herbs and garlic cloves and olive oil.  I roasted it in the oven and after it cooled, I blended everything together in the blender and it finished off with a lovely thick juice.  I used it for pizza and made tomato soup!

The dahlias in the garden are doing well too!  They love the cooler weather!

These little guys are munching away on the fennel in the garden!

Wednesday is the day that I usually go and visit Mommy D!  I love her so much!

My Aunt Linda invited all her nieces to her house for a dinner and memories that we have growing up together!  This was such a fun night.  I wasn't sure if I would make it because Ashlyn had a volleyball game and usually I watch Gunnar at games because Hadassah coaches but Jeremiah was at the game and I decided to join my cousins!  The food was great but the laughs and stories were even better!  The Riehl family is such a blast!!!!!

And we also had a Dienner reunion that next Sunday.  Seeing so many cousins and being with family is such a blessing!  The boys fished at Uncle Alvins while the dads played pickle ball.  Family gathered to eat and everyone was spoiled with yummy desserts.  Aunt Ruth had some of Daudy and Mommy D's favorites for everyone to take along home.  She's the most thoughtful person I know!

Baby Gunnar is growing and is adorable!!!!!  He is rolling over from his belly to his back.  He loves to jump in the Johnny Jump!  He is so adorable!

Tragic news of Charlie Kirk is everywhere.  I didn't know who Charlie was but the whole world knows now!  He was the founder of Turning Point USA and a dynamic person in this world for Jesus!  He went to youth campus's and colleges to talk to kids about their beliefs.  He spoke out for truth!!!  Walking at the park and seeing the flag at half staff makes me so sad for his wife Erica and their two dear children.

It was just Austin and I for dinner one night and we decided to go get our favorites at Agape!  He was so happy to see this ginormous waffle for him to enjoy!

My closet colors are changing with the season!

And the fresh flowers are looking more and more like fall time!

Mike and I were invited to a corn hole tournament and dinner with Matt and Lena.  Mike and I are not the best at this game but we had fun!

Mike was trying to play corn hole and watch the Chiefs at the same time!  Let's go boys!  Let's get it together.

Austin loves his ballgame days!

I had peppers in the fridge that I picked from the garden and needed to can them.  We love these sweet pepper strips.

Thank you Target ... I think I will!

Ashlyn is hot and heavy into her volleyball games too!

I stopped at my moms and we looked at her dahlias and she said to bring some along home!  Isn't this beautiful!  Adding lilacs and eucalyptus and zinnias ... it all makes a great bouquet!

I finished up this book and dropped it off at the library.  The next time I go to any kind of art gallery, I will have a new perspective.  This was a good read!

September is moving right along!

Fall is in the air!

I love it!

Sports ALL weekend long.

Austin signed up for Fallball.  This is a first time sport for our family.  Matthew did play in little league when he was only five years old but he was there to play and others were picking dandelions.  The boys have played tons of softball before but not much of modify ball.  Now we learn how to bunt and steal bases and hit fast balls!  Let the fun begin!

Practice went well!

I grabbed a fall drink and this yogurt at White Magnolia's food trailer and it was so amazing!

This week was the beginning of football season!  Mike and I have tickets for our football weekend away and we are looking so forwards to it!!!!  Love this season!

Ashlyn is giving high school sports a thumbs up and it playing great!  The JV team is good and so fun to watch!!!!

The girls had a tournament on Friday and made it to the playoffs.  This meant we were watching the first Chiefs game on bleachers in a gymnasium all the while cheering on Ashlyn and her team mates!!!!

They played well and made it to playoffs.

Let's get it together Chiefs!

Then we spent all day Saturday at the park!!!  The Damian Foundation had a fundraiser and Adrian put this team together!  They played so well and finished in their bracket as first place!!!!!

Way to go Curveball Kings!

We came home so tired!  Austin and Matthew were playing on teams and Mike was an umpire!  I had Gunnar most of the day because Hadassah was with the Varsity volleyball team in a tournament.  He did great and we all had a fun day!

We decided to sleep in on Sunday morning and we ate breakfast on the chilly back porch while we watched church online.

The kids loved the French toast sticks and bacon!!!!

And when I say that we were playing sports ALL weekend, that's what I mean!  Austin had his very first baseball game playing for the Braves!  He was nervous.  He did great!  He had hits!  Stole a base!  Scored runs!  He said after the game that hitting was the best part of the game and that was what he was the most nervous about!  He's scared he's gonna get hit but he did great and had fun!

We sat on the sidelines cheering and enjoying the beautiful day at the park again!  The Braves won both games and playing with Adrian once again is always a highlight for Austin!

We would have love to come back home and watch some football but the Dienners were gathering and we didn't want to miss that event either!  The kids fished while the dads played Pickleball!  Uncle Alvin and Ruth are the best hosts and served us the best foods!

It's always good to see family once again!

Aunt Ruth is always so thoughtful!!!!  She had some of Mommy and Daudy D's favorite foods available for everyone to take along home!  Keith gave us a big bag of swedish candy.  Herby made Austin fresh cotton candy.  Ashlyn was sipping on mountain dew sloshies.  The kids broke open two piñatas.  The whole night surrounded by family was fun and we left sugared up.

This was an extra busy weekend but everyone had a ton of fun!!!!  We are blessed to have energy and strong bodies to allow us to do fun things like life in this fun life!!!!
