Today, Ashlyn is 4 1/2 months old. She's growing. She is now drinking 6 oz. of formula each feeding. Every time I get her bottle ready for a feeding, she starts to cry or really whine. She's recognizing that her bottle is what feeds her stomach. She is spitting up some lately too. Not sure what the deal is with that? She was never a spit up baby. Most times she spits up when I set her in the Bumbo seat. I think it squishes her belly some! Hadassah totally grosses out when she throws up. Hopefully, this spitting up will only last for a short time!
She had us wondering the other night. When Mike comes home from work and she lights up instantly!!! She loves her daddy and they are really starting 'to bond'! Mike loves it!!! Well, when he came home Ashlyn was all smiles! He gave me a kiss (he always tells the kids that mom is first! I like that!!! So sweet!), and then he went to Ashlyn and she reached out her arms! What? Really? He took her and then I tried to get her to reach for me. Nope. She wanted her daddy! She is really reaching though. She's done it a number of times since! I can't hardly believe she is starting to do things like this already. They sure don't stay little for long. It's so much fun seeing her personally develope. She's also grabbing anything she can reach. She loves to hold toys in her hands and put them in her mouth.
This week I put up the johnny jump. She's not sure what to do with it yet when we sit her in it, but she's content for a little and plays with her toys that are in the tray in front of her. Maybe she's too small yet? We will keep trying.
Ashlyn is a sweetie and this is her today ...
Look's like it might rain ... we sure could use it! Have a great day!
