So I go from posting about inches of fresh falling snow to mentioning Spring!!! It's true though because this week will be giving us Spring Fever!!!
The weekend was cold but yesterday the birds were chirping and the tempts actually got in 40's! We are going to think forties and fifties will be warm! :) We had a great message at church yesterday morning about God's love!!! He loves us so much! No matter what we have done. We are born sinners but through Christ, we are redeemed! We left church all hungry because I put a stop to serving a cooked breakfast on Sunday mornings. Things just go a bit faster and it helps to not have those extra dishes to wash up while trying to beat the clock! The kids and I ate soups and pasta for lunch. We were all so ready to have Mike back home with us!!!
We relaxed in the living room with the sunshine beaming through the picture window!!! Matthew went outside to play in the snow tunnel awhile. Hadassah kept putting on one Odyssey episode on after the other. We were entertained! We waited to hear from Mike! He was flying from Pheonix back to Philie! We missed him so much!
We decided to head over to Dutchies 40th birthday party awhile and let Mike meet us there. The kids were so excited to see the Fisher kids again! The party was like a big reunion! There were so many people there that we used to see at church all the time! Great fellowship!!! Mike did show up around 8:00 and it was good to see him!!! And hug him! And kiss him! The kids all begged to drive home with him. :) Can't say I blame them! Having their daddy back in the house and having him help me tuck the kids into bed was a dream come true again! Love that he's back home!!! :)
Today, the sun is shining bright again and the skies are clear blue in color! The birds are chirping. The snow is melting fast leaving the roads a wet mess! We had the last bible study session with the ladies at 10 this morning too. The whole series was great! The brunch foods were delicious!!! When Ashlyn and I left bible study, we got into the Yukon and for the first in weeks, it was warm in there!!! I know Spring can be a tease with the tempts, going from high to low fast, but feeling some warmth was a blessing!!! I really think Spring is trying to come!!! At last!!! :)
Every week I keep thinking, "Well, maybe this week we will get our go ahead for remodeling our house." We are still waiting on some final blueprint details which we are expecting to get this week and permits. If the weather is starting to change for warmer tempts, we will be very ready to start working outside and get the whole project started!!!
I hope Spring really is on it's way because that would make me so happy!!! Enjoy all the sunshine and "not freezing cold" weather this week!!! :) I might get tempted to fire up the grill! :)
