We just spent last weekend at Sunset Ridge with wonderful friends from church. Our group of friends has expanded so much by just attending another church. We have been welcomed so much and it's hard to believe that it will be two years soon that we are now attending Honey Brook Community Church. We are loving it!!!
Last year, when Austin was just a few weeks old, this group of friends spent the weekend at the beach. That was so much fun and so we decided to do it again. But at the mountains this time.
The kids still had sand volleyball to play and the teenagers played a lot. The adults VS teenagers games were close but we beat them each game!!!! :))) We didn't cheat either. I promise!!! Ping pong was going strong all weekend. And the pool table got used a whole lot! The older kids kept all these games going and going and going!!!
We arrived on Friday evening and had a hot dog roast and we ate snacks all night long. :) We teased that we wouldn't have enough to last us the weekend but thankfully the snacking slowed down! :) I'm not kidding when I say that my huge container of home made chocolate chip cookies got all but devoured in one night. And the big bowl of party mix was nearing the bottom. It was a night of sitting around the cabin table and chatting. And laughing. And ... eating.
Saturday was a warm day! The watermelons and healthier foods hit the spot! The ladies got into some Rook competition but Lena and Sonia couldn't beat us!!! We won all three games!!! Darien had a birthday and when I asked him how old he was, he said, "Almost eighteen!" He is so funny!!! We relaxed by the campfire and roasted smores after dark!
On Sunday, it was another hot day. The kids played by the swings and volleyball. We played more Rook games and laughed. When it came time to clean up and pack for home, it went so well!!! Everyone pitched in and the job went great!!!
Ashlyn and Sabrina ...
Matthew and Chandler kept the pool table occupied.
Lots of fun volleyball in the sand court.
