Summer memories are beginning!

Austin just turned 11 months old.  I can't get enough of his smiles and cuteness.  :)

 

His favorite places right now are the porches or swing or with Mike on the mower or skid loader.  OK, anywhere outside.  :)  In the morning, he sits on the front porch.  He used to watch the kids get on the bus and then be out there for awhile.  School is now over but he still likes it out there.  Then in the afternoon he likes the back porch.  He gets so dirty from head to toe!!! 

 

Every time Mike gets on the skid loader Austin wants along.  He absolutely loves it!

Tonight, Matthew was setting up a tent in the back yard when he heard Austin splashing in water.  Austin was watching Matthew and crawled into his little pool on the back porch.  There was only a little amount of rain water from earlier today in it but it is a reminder for me to put the pool away so no accidents occur.  And yes, we have one tiny pool for Austin and one for Ashlyn.  :)

Matthew set up the tent tonight in hopes of using it this weekend.  We had plans on taking Hadassah's class to the cabin but now that is canceled because a dear friend of ours, Carol Glick, passed away from battling cancer.  She is now dancing and praising Jesus in heaven.  Denver, her son, is in Hadassah's class.  Please join us in prayer for the Glick boys and husband Dale.

Then after supper tonight, I was loading up the dish washer.  Austin comes a tearing over and pulls out a wooden spoon that I had used for mac n cheese.  He chowed for the first time tonight on macs!!!  :)  Now he's licking the spoon.  He also has some milk in his hair from Mike's cup on the top shelf of the dishwasher. 

Oh how I love this kid!!!

Our days are busy.  We can't wait to go to the pool for the first time this summer.  We have lots of events to look forward to this summer!  What a blessing to have healthy bodies and active kids to keep me young.  :)))

Summer has begun busy!

I can't say how many times I wanted to sit down and write on this blog lately.  Other things are just more demanding.  We've been so, so busy with graduation and then right away going to Sunset Ridge for Memorial Day Weekend.  Then to come home to tons of laundry, yard work and weeds to pull, I didn't take the time to blog.  Having the kids home from school now requires extra dishes in the sink and lunch preparations.  Now for enough of excuses, here goes.  :)

These older kids got the biggest kick out of going in the baby high chairs.

All the kids.  It's the first and only year that we, all six couples, have four children!  Martha Rose is pregnant and will be bringing her baby with us next time.  :)

Martha again provided fun for the kids!!!  I just wish my pictures would have gotta better here.  :/

Here are all the moms again!!!  What a fun group of ladies!

I wanted to take some fun pictures of Austin because he is now 11 months old, so I did a mini photo session at the cabin.  He is eating more and more.  Still drinking 6 oz. of formula.  Tries to stand up on his own without holding onto anything.  Still has only four teeth but two more are coming in on the top gum.  Totally loves his daddy and going on the mower and skid loader with him.  It happens every week at least once.  Lucky boy!  :)  Matthew is his go to brother.  Austin wants him all the time.  He says 'mama'.  For everything.  :)  He's our charmer and a so much fun right now.  We are loving his stage in life!!!

I like to always take some special pictures of Ashlyn on this weekend too because she turned five not real long ago.  She is so sweet and at the same time sassy.  She loves my time with her.  She draws pictures all the time and is writing her ABC's a lot.  She asks often "how do you spell this mom".  She knows her letters the best out of our all children at this age.  Her tender care and time with Austin is so sweet.  They love each other tremendously!  "I love you, Sweets."

 

Our weekend was so much fun once again.  It's something we look forward to each year!!!  Thanks to all the families that came with us again!
