Last weekend of September.

How can it be the last weekend of September already?  It's almost time to flip my calendar page to another month.

I look up pumpkin recipes on Pinterest every fall because I just love pumpkin!  The other day I made a pumpkin soup but next time I will lessen the cumin.  Mike loves candy apples and I ordered a few from my friend Ada!  This was our supper the other night!

I found myself a bargain on Friday!!!  I was on my way to pick up some sticky buns for our upcoming school sale when I spied a child's sassy seat on a yard sale wagon that said "free".  I whipped it into the yard sale and loaded it up!  Mom's been wanting a seat like this for the new cabin!  I decided to make a quick look around and I spied these two chairs!  There was a paper taped to them saying sold but when I asked the price of an outdoor rug I was interested in, I asked about the chairs too.  If there's one thing I've learned over the years with yard saling, I learned to ask.  The girl said that they had these chairs for forever and I can buy them for $60!!!  SOLD!!!  I was so happy to load them up and bring them to my bare back porch!  Just the night before, I was on Wayfair looking up patio furniture.  We have this lovely back porch that sits empty.  I knew these chairs would be great!

Take a look!!!

I bought the rug too for $30!!!

Friday night we used up our Bonefish Grill gift card!  The kids loved the bang bang shrimp!

I also made a pumpkin cold foam.  You just whip 8 oz. heavy whipping cream until stiff.  Add 4 tsp. pumpkin puree, 2 tsp. maple syrup and a pinch of pumpkin pie spice.  I then topped it on top of my coffee.  It's a great creamer!!!  This made a small container full!

The pumpkin soup I made was from a recipe on Pinterest.  I love cumin but I think I added a bit too much.

Austin is just all into David and Goliath!!!!  He listens to the Usborne story book of David every single morning as I get the school children their breakfast and as we pack lunches.  He listens to it again with me after the kids go to school.  He again listens to it at nap time.  It's on repeat most days!!!!  It's so adorable to see him play and imitate David!

The other we were relaxing on the back porch together and I grabbed my camera and clicked away as Austin played and played David!!!  It was precious!

First he played King Saul.

Then the mean giant, Goliath!

Then David the shepherd boy!

Then the next day he came up with the idea that David didn't wear pants.  This was he outfit of David that day.

And then we went to school to drop off the sticky buns were donated.  He spied a solider outfit that was going to be for sale on Saturday!!!!  He was thrilled to see this!  Of course, he asked his daddy if he could buy it at the sale!?!  How could we not if this is what he plays over and over!!!

Here's his new solider outfit!!!!

A mix and match of old and new things!

New helmet!  New cape!!!!

Same old swords!  Same old Ninja shell breastplate!  :)))

Sticking that sword in the shief!

Cutest solider I ever did see!!!!!!

After the school sale on Saturday, we went to John and Suz for pizza!!!  He was so tired and feel asleep like this!!!  Just too cute!!!

On Saturday was Linville Hill's school sale.  We had such a fun day with our school family!!!  Mike started out early with running the 5K!  We arrived just in time to watch him come to the finish line!!!!  Good job BABE!!!!

At 10 AM, there was a fun run!  Ashlyn loves to do this and Austin and Adrian joined this year too!!!  They went from obstacle to obstacle!!!  So cool!!!

Austin received his very own metal!!!!

Proud runners!!!!

There were lots of outside games for the kids!

I was very happy to snag this huge basket full of Norwex, Doterra and Young Living Oils, cleamical free cleaners and soaps!!!! All for $125!!!  I am just so pleased with all these items!!!!

Face painting, running metals, lots of sugar candies and foods, Legos for Ashlyn and the solider suit for Austin!!!  Everyone was very happy!!!

Saturday night we went to John and Suz for pizza and a good time!!!  Thanks guys!

On Sunday, we visited Keystone Church!  It's just down the street from our house!  They have two services and we picked the first one.  We left our house at 8:50 AM, church at 9 AM!  We enjoyed the worship so much and really enjoyed the teaching on baptism.  We had a certain teenage boy be all ears!!!  Matthew is not enjoying church lately.  It's difficult to go through rough patches in churches and our home church is on a down.  Issues that children don't understand and sometimes us as adults don't either.  We have elders and people that are really trying to make it a good teaching, Bible believing church!!!  We love Honeybrook and all the people there!!!  Honestly, the past few months the attendance is down and our kids are feeling it!!!!!  It's sad!  Last Sunday, Matthew was the only boy his age there.  Where does he go to Sunday school?  We told him he can join ours but what 14 year old wants to join an adult class?  I pitied him.  We visited Keystone a few months ago and he seemed to enjoy it.  We visited again this past Sunday and he enjoyed it again!!!!  Sometimes you have to be sensitive to your children's hearts too!!!  We were back home by 10:35!

Sunday night my family all went to my parents for a cookout!  Brother Jason cooked up a big brisket and Mom warmed up ribs from market!!!  We had a great spread of food but the laughter around the campfire was even better!!!!  We were busy scarring off one of Ashlyn's cats that Dad bought from her!  He called and asked for some cats to help with their mice situation!  He paid her $20 a cat!!!!  He had one happy grand daughter!!!!!

Weekends are just the best if they can be spent with family and friends!!!!  A time of worship, a time to regroup, a time to relax, a time to hear the word from the Lord, a time to be lazy and enjoy life!!!!

I love September weekends!!!!!
