Sunshine and rain brings the most beautiful May days!

Muffins with Mom was a nice event at school focused on the kids and their moms!  There were lots of different muffins served with fruit and juice!  I can hardly believe that we have only one elementary student.  Time goes fast!  I love you Austin!!!!

What's better than sitting outside eating muffins with cousins!?!  And this homemade card is adorable!

Austin plays outfield for the Flames.  He was asked to help an older team play one game because they were missing players because of a school program and field trip.  Austin was excited and of course said yes but he was so nervous!  This was his first time playing in the upper field, under ballgame lights and a score board!  He was nervous he wouldn't do well enough but I reminded him that if him and Adrian didn't help them out, they couldn't play.  They needed them to play and they did good!  They struggled the beginning of the game with being down by ten runs.  They got it together and came back and beat the team by eight!  It was so fun watching them get all fired up at the grand slam and all the good hits!  Austin was so nervous that he asked the coach if he could play back catcher instead of right field.  It's just a delight to watch these boys cheer each other on and play together and do well!  Love it!

Mike was invited to an event that had food trucks and games and prizes.  We went for the burger and fries and tried the Mac and cheese fries too.  We ended with Penny's ice cream.  Weekend foods are fun!

I planted lots of shade and ferns this year in my pots on the back porch!  I can't wait to see them grow!

Another night at the ballpark is good for the soul!  We are having such nice weather for the ballgames!

We've been having sunshine and rain showers and it's making the garden pop!  I was so surprised when I walked out to the garden after a wet weekend and found all these radishes ready to eat!  These are the best ever with lots of zip!  I planted two different kinds.  Champion and French Breakfast.  Both of delicious!  Spring is here friends and the garden foods have begun!

May is such a beautiful time of the year.  Flowers are blooming.  Lawns are lush green.  Gardens and fields are planted with seeds!  The flower pots are filled with colorful flowers!  Herbs are eatable and delicious!  I love this time of year so much!

My favorite month is here!

May is here and I love it!  There are so many things that happen every single May and it's all so fun!  The grass is mowed twice a week because by now it's lush and growing like crazy!  The garden gives us fresh lettuce and radishes!  There are lots of flowers in bloom like peony's, lilacs, lily of the valley and honeysuckle!  May is when we start counting down the days of school.  But first it's, track and field day, field trip days, awards, presentations, spring programs and much, much more!  The first summer like days appear and we talk about going to the beach!  Baseball games.  Phillies games on the back porch. Hard working days with sweat.  Flowers planted. Mother's Day and Birthday!   IT'S JUST ALL LOVELY!!!!!

Austin is loving his baseball season and they are on a roll with lots of wins!

Dad's coach.  Mike pitches every game.  The umpire makes all the calls!

Because it felt like a summer night, we got treats from Rita's!

I am not a history buff by any means but I decided to swing by school and see the Civil War days and displays!  They really had some great things to see and learn!

We have fresh spinach in the garden and fresh sourdough bread in the kitchen using some fresh herbs from the garden to add flavor!

I helped Hadassah clean up her flower beds and we trimmed the lilac bush!  I got to bring home lots of fresh lilac blooming branches!

Exactly!!!!  I go to greenhouses and want one of every plant!

The first radishes are picked!

I tried a new recipe of Brown Sugar Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies!  Yummy!

May is full of fun events, yummy treat and sweet things of life!  Enjoy every moment!!!!

Spring gardening.

The garden beds are full with tiny plants and I can't wait to watch it all grow!

I planted lettuce in the front bed.  Cabbage in the back beds.

Haul Peas.

Apple tree blossoms!  Tulips!

Tons of radishes!  The strawberry box is looking good!

White lilacs is it this week!

Ashlyn loved to garden when she was smaller.  She still enjoys it but it's not pulling her like it used to.  I love to watch her in the space!

They survived!!!!!  I have now kept these banana leaf plants for two years.  After the summer last year, Mike carried the big pots upstairs and that's where they lived till now.  They are back on the front porch!  I look a bit thirsty but are gonna be fine with some fresh potting soil and lots of water!

Decided to go with white angel wing begonias this year instead of read.

And here are some pot fillers that I love!

April is the month to fill the garden, fill the flower pots, fill the garden beds with fresh mulch and then May is watching it all grow!!!!!  I'm excited!
