Summer days in July!

Austin made this nice car at boys camp and I love seeing it in his room!

We have lavender plants around the playhouse in the garden and we love adding homemade lavender syrup to lemonade!  It's easy!  Cut lavender buds. Boil with water and sugar.  Steep for 10 minutes.

Drain and enjoy!

We had a cousins pool day and baby loved it!

The kids have been loving the game Clue and on these hot days, they enjoy playing this inside with the AC turned on!

My favorite place on our property!

My reading continues slowly but it's still going!  I ordered some books off of amazon and I can't wait to read them!

Baby dear went with me to Ashlyn's volleyball game!

We didn't get a whole lot of pool days at the club but the days we are there are so fun!

These are the photos I get from Hadassah!!!!  Just stinking cute!!!!

We have the best friends that invited us to their pool!  The kids had such a fun day!!!!!  Thanks Anne!

And after we got back home, Jody sent this to me!  We tease Austin that he looks like Kevin on Home Alone.  After seeing the text, he put on his Christmas sweater with palm tree swimsuit!

Just too cute!!!!!

The flowers and colors are just stunning right now!  The other morning I set my camera on the kitchen counter and captured the steamy windows from outside and AC inside.  The tempts are high!

A night of grilled foods and another Clue game on the back porch.  Fun times!

It's peach season and we are enjoying the peaches off of our trees but I got a basket from Fishers to cut up and freeze for lunches!

Summer is full of outside events, games and grilling!  We are loving it!

July is wet and hot!

We've been having a wet summer and green grass!!!!  I love it!  It's also been very warm with tempts in the 90s.  That hot to me and I'll be ready for cooler weather next month!  July is full of garden goodies and beautiful flowers!  We have had sunsets that we gazed at until it faded away in the dark.  Take a look at what my camera captured!

The Zinnia's are bursting in color right now in the garden!

We've made a lot of Amish Hats!  They go so well with watermelon!  You spread peanut butter on a Ritz cracker and top it with a marshmallow.  Boil for only a few seconds in the oven and enjoy!  These roast really fast so do not walk away when you put them in the oven!  Stay there and keep your eye on them!  As soon as they turn golden brown, enjoy!

The garden foods are ripening and the flower colors to match it is magical!

I planted celery early spring and the celery was actually decent this time around!  I tried growing this vegetable in previous years and this time was the best growth!  Cabbage, tomatoes and cucumbers fill my kitchen sink!

While Austin was at boys camp, we had painters come to our house and paint the kids bedroom plus a bathroom.  After nine years, when we remodeled our home, it was time for a fresh up!

I choose white and it's fresh and looking good!  Austin couldn't wait to come home and see how it looks!  It will take some time to add things to the walls but it's clean and looking nice!

We have a cat.  We call her "Girl".  We've had her for over ten years.  She's missing a paw from an injury years ago.  She birthed a lot of kittens but that's not happening anymore.  I really like her around the house.  She stands her ground when Arie comes over and lives a good life!

Turning on Italian music when I cook up some tomatoes will be great!

We had the Lapp Family over for a Low Country Boil and we ate outside in the back yard!  Some meals are meant to be eaten messy and outside!  Mike did a great job cooking the food over the camp fire and it was delicious!

You cook the foods, lay it out on the table and eat with your fingers!  It's so good!

Then the little ones roasted marshmallows on the campfire for dessert!

I cut flowers from the garden to add to our tables outside!

Gathering with the Lapps had us remembering Dad Lapp!  He passed away into eternity seven years ago.  We miss him a lot!  Life keeps moving on fast and there are more grand babies since his passing and weddings and celebrations!  It's on nights like this that I wish he was still with us!
