August is here. The end of summer will be upon us soon and school begins this month. It's crazy how fast the summers go by. We are going to treasure each summer day this month!
I have been cutting fresh blooms all summer long and loving it!!!!
We are now in the era of reading glasses. Both Mike and I need them. Aging is happening.
We have lots of peppers from the garden so we canned a few jars to enjoy in the winter months.
This is not Gunnar but it sure looks like him! It's adorable and we can't wait for the football games to begin!
Each August, we take the family to the cabin. Just us. We love it. The kids love it! We invited Matt's to join us a Saturday till Monday. The kids play. Us adults play. Everyone relaxes. We eat good food! We out in a nature!
Adrian and Austin took Adrians trap out to the woods. They had pancake syrup in their hands and Swiss rolls. They set the trap in the woods and came back. The next day, they hopped on the four wheeler, grabbed a gun and went to check on their trapping. They came back in smiles and a raccoon in their hands. They surprised us all because we didn't even know they went to check on the trap! They are so happy with their catch!
Baby dear is just so sweet! He's four months old and loves Ashlyn! They went to check on the cabin neighbors public blueberry patch.
Jeremiah loves the woods and cabin! Hadassah and Gunnar like the golf cart! It's so fun to have the kids enjoy the cabin life!
Jer brought bucket golf to the cabin. The kids loved it!
Matthew kept mentioning Bad Mitten. We played this a lot when I was a little girl and it's a great backyard game! Simple. Fun. I bought a game and took it to the cabin with us! We played game after game and got lots of exercise! It's a game for the young and old!
Mike cooked steaks on the campfire grill! Desserts are great too!
Miss Zayla had a birthday! She's five now!

The weekend was fun! Now, we are back home and flipped the calendar over to August. My Pinterest board for August has a lot of back to school and fall pins! We are almost ready for this next season!
