Jesus is risen!!!! Easter 2021!

Easter looked a lot more normal this year than last year!  COVID has us staying home much, much more last year this time but family gatherings are a must over a holiday!  Easter is when we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ!!!!  It's the real reason why believers in Jesus can live in heaven eternally after death!

Jesus died for all sinners!  He was born to give his life to save sinners.  His life on earth is a true story that happened a long time ago but his message and forgiveness is still available today!  Jesus grew up and started performing miracles around the age of thirty.  He spoke sternly to the religious leaders but lovingly to the sinners!  He hated the cold hearts of the religious leaders.  They were out to find fault in Jesus.  They didn't like when he healed on the Sabbath but Jesus didn't hold back from freedom!  He forgave  sins.  He claimed to be the Son of God but they said it's blasphemy.  Jesus was true!  After going through trials, beatings, false accusations were spoken against him .... he was crowned with a crown of thorns and then nailed on a cross.  The story is so dramatic and so many things happened through the night!  Peter, his disciple denied him three times.  Judas, another disciple, betrayed him and handed him over to the soldiers who killed Jesus.  After Jesus died, there was darkness and the veil in the temple tore in two!  There was even a solider who claimed after Jesus died and hung on the cruel cross, "Truly he was the Son of God!"

Jesus did die.  That was God's plan.  He sent His only Son to die and be the sacrifice for all sinners so that we can be forgiven!  But Jesus didn't stay dead!  HE AROSE three days later!

Jesus arose on Easter morning!  He met with his disciples and then assended back into heaven forty days later!  He lives today in heaven with God!

The gospels on the Bible tell the story in much more detail!  Go read it!!!!

We had a couple different Easter parties that we attended!!!!!

Austin's class did a project and a egg hunt!  Kindergarteners are just the cutest!!!!

Ashlyn class had a snack and some fun games!!!

Thursday night, we packed up a few things and headed to the cabin!  We love cabin weekends with family!!!!  Everyone but Jason's were there!  Such a fun time!  Mike made bacon on the camp fire for our sandwiches!

Here's the crowd of children that we all love so much!!!!!  My parents always give chocolate bunnies!

We came back home Saturday night and attended communion at church Sunday morning.  I love it that the children can take part and really learn why we do this!  For it was Jesus's body and blood that gives us new life!!!!

Then Sunday night, we met with Mike's family to celebrate Easter!!!!  Jesus is worth every celebration!  The children loved the basket hunts!  Cousins are real winners here!

The older kids did join us at Mom Lapps for dinner!  I was almost in tears when they decided to stay home instead of going to the cabin but Jeremiah moved into the apartment on Saturday and the Petersheim's were gathering they Jeremiah and Hadassah wanted to join!  The older kids are growing up!

And here are a few statements I like!

Easter is a great reminder for me to not be shy about my faith!  I am to tell others about this amazing story and how Jesus was a friend to sinners and wants us to repent and turn to follow him!!!!

Happy Easter!  Jesus died but rose again!!!!
