This cactus has been quite the plant in our home. It's been dropped on the floor causing all kinds of drama. I keep it as a house plant but after moving it outside in this heat of summer weather, it loves it! Look at all the new growth it's getting!
We made another visit with Mommy D. It's hard to have a heart to heart conversation with her anymore because her words are kinda all over the place. It doesn't always make sense and she asks who had a baby when nobody had a baby in the family recently. Things like that but I sat beside her while the kids played a game.
June breakfast looks like this!
Austin finished up his baseball but Matthew is still playing and this is a sign of someone who had a fun time at the ballpark getting dirty in the dirt! Matthew had a good game and loved this night!
The garden is just starting to give us some fresh cucumbers. And on Monday of last week, it was so hot and very windy. I just mentioned it the night before to Mike that we should stake our apple tree because it didn't look that sturdy and what do you know ... the apple tree snapped right at the roots and broke. I could've cried. I was so excited for this only 2 year old apple tree. It had 56 apples hanging on it. We are so sad but not giving up. Gonna go get another one or maybe two and try again!!!!
The lavender is in full bloom and we made some homemade syrup to add to lemonade! We just love it!!!!
1 cup water.
1 cup sugar.
2 TB lavender buds.
Boil together and stir and then steep for 10 minutes!!!!
Chasing aways the greys!!!!!
Still getting in our morning walks!!!
June garden blooms. We are dry and could really use rain! We've been running the sprinkler on the garden and so that helps with healthy garden plants but the yard is crunchy and brown. I've not mowed in two weeks. I pray that we will get rain soon!
