Ice cream and Photo session.

We had another busy summer weekend here around home.  Mike came back from his few days in Canada on Friday.  Just in time to take Matthew to a doctor appointment to get tested for Lyme's.  We been watching Matthew the past few weeks and noticed that his energy level was extremely low.  Headaches.  Achy.  He did have a tick bite a week Mike had his but never got a rash.  We are still not certain that Matthew has Lyme's but we took him to get tested and they started him on antibiotics to get a jump start.  His shoulder that was hurting so bad is feeling better already!  Please keep Matthew in your prayers as he fights against whatever this is that seems to be draining his body!!!  (We got a call from the doctors saying it is Lyme's and now Matthew is being treated for this disease.)

This was him every morning last week.  He would wake up for sleeping all night and sleep again.  Then take a good nap in the afternoon.  Not normal!

So we got some blood work done and it did say Lyme's.  Ashlyn was totally taking it all in!

Mike was extremely tired from traveling all night.  He took a nap and then we went for supper down at the ORI Tournament.  We watched one ball game and came home for bed!

Saturday morning it was just me and the two youngest awake.  I decided to go on a quick yard sale spot.  Not far from home but boy did we do good!!!  I bought Hadassah a pair of Sperry's for $6!!! She was so tickled!  A big bag of play dough and all kinds of fixtures and shapes to make with the dough.  Ashlyn played with it ALL afternoon!!!  All for $3!  We got some clothes and books too!  I was happy with my one stop shop!!!  :)

Marlene dropped off their children here for the afternoon while they hosted their first open house.  Matt's are selling their home in a few weeks and moving to the Lititz area.  The kids played with the playdoo things and did games.  We told Matt's to come over later that evening for hot dogs and campfire but because of the rain, we all decided to go see their new home and go out for ice cream.  We loved Matt and Marlene's future home!  We hope to visit them after they move!!!  We all then went to Fox's Creamery for ice cream.  The place was packed out!!!  We stood in the long, long line for our huge waffle cones and delicious ice cream.  Austin was a total mess but the ice cream treats tasted awesome!!!  :/

We were blessed with the Sunday morning service at church!  Studying Genesis is so interesting right now!!!  I am really enjoying it!!!  We got to relax in the afternoon before heading off to take family photo's in the evening.  And what an event that was!!!!

Lindsey (our photographer) and I kept calling or texting each other because of the weather conditions for Sunday evening.  She had four sessions planned for that night and everyone but us canceled.  I was gonna try to stick to the plans and get the family photos taken if at all possible.  We decided to go with 4:00 PM.  I had wanted to have Austin do a cake smash at the very end of our photography time so I got some balloons blown up on Saturday and bought a small cake.  By Sunday morning, all the balloons were on the floor.  :(  We decided to stop on our way to Hans Herr House (where we took our pictures) at Walmart to get more balloons blown up.  That was a big mistake.

(This was my first trip to get balloons blown up on Saturday.)

Mike pulled up at the curb and I jumped out.  Everyone was dressed and ready for pictures just as soon as we get ten more balloons!  And then we would be on our merry way!  And everything would run smoothly.  Or not ........

I went inside Walmart and went straight to the customer service desk.  I had called before we actually got there to see if they blow up balloons and they said yes.  They sent me back to electronics.  Back there they all looked at each other like they didn't know if they do that or who to ask or who to do the job.  Really, if you don't blow up balloons here we can go somewhere else.  To make this a short story, it took about 6 different employees to help blow up ten balloons.  What was to take about five minutes ended up taking forty five minutes.  I didn't even take my phone along inside because I really didn't think it would take long.  So, by now, the rest of the family is totally losing all patience!!!  Mike and Hadassah both took turns going into Walmart looking for me.  When I finally went running out the door with my nine balloons (yes, one did already pop on the way out) I went looking for the Yukon.  I spied it but Mike wasn't there.  I called him and he was inside Walmart still looking for me.  When he came out we decided to else cry or laugh.  By now, we were late.  Ashlyn hair looked a mess from her carrying on in the back.  Everyone was in a bad mood from waiting and waiting.  This is not the best way to start a family photo session!!!!!

BUT, the rest of the evening went great!!!  We were able to take our time.  The rains held off the entire time!  The kids relaxed and smiled so sweetly!  The sunshine was gorgeous.  All nine balloons did make it for Austin's cake smash!  I was extremely grateful we got this accomplished!  And extremely tired by the time to got back home!!!  :)

We spent the rest of the evening watching the sun set and drinking root beer floats on the back porch!!!

Here is one picture that I took with Mike's phone.  I can't wait to see what Sweet Face Photography all captured!!!

Life can be very stressful at times but we will forever and ever treasure these pictures!!!  We are so blessed!
