Mommy D had an outing!

August has us now back into the school schedule and going to volleyball games!  Ashlyn is really enjoying the high school sports program and is a setter!  She's doing a good job and they beat High Point!

It also has us eating fresh peaches!

The garden is still alive!  Raspberries, green beans, tomatoes, lots of peppers, figs and fresh herbs!

We are back to walking while our children are in school!

They are doing it!  And doing it well!  The kids ride the bus home and they like their new bussing friends.  I love our front porch these days and looking through this new fall magazine has be excited for the new season!

Baby dear is with me while his momma coaches volleyball!

The most beautiful thing happened last week!  Mommy D has one sister.  Annie's health really declined the last week and passed away.  Of course Mommy D was told that Annie wasn't doing well but you wonder some days how much she understands.  We know for sure that she will not remember.  My dad decided to take Mommy D to view her sister and my brother John Micheal drives an ambulance so he took them there!

The entire hour that Mommy D was there was so precious!!!!  Her family didn't know she was coming!  It was a surprise and Mommy D was actually having a really good morning.  Just the day before you could barely wake her.

She was happy to see her loved ones!  She was smiling to see who next she could talk to!  She viewed her sister and asked how long Annie wasn't well.  She asked for a tissue.  It was so touching and she really understood at that moment.  She hugged her relatives and everyone was so kind and welcoming to her!

I just cried because I'm now used to going to visit her at the home she lives in.  I miss doing every day events with her!!!!

She asked to wave goodbye to her brother Amey and then she was taken back to the home.

This outing was very special!  I wasn't going to miss it!!!!

Annie lived for Jesus!  She loved her children well!  She will be missed!

I love you Mommy D!!!!!
