A taste of summer!

We got out the Popsicle mold the other day.  I had pinned a recipe on Pinterest for Fudge Popsicles and they turned out really good!  They are a chocolate lovers dream chilled snack!

... Fudge Pops ...
Whisk together 2 tsp. cornstarch with 2 Tb. milk.  Then add 1 1/4 cup milk, 1 1/3 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 1/4 tsp. salt.  Bring this to a boil and still for 1 minute.  Stir in 2 tsp. vanilla extract and pour in Popsicle molds.  Insert ice-pop sticks and freeze for 6 hours.

When we arrived at the pool the other day, the ice cream truck was there too!  Perfect timing for some fresh cold desserts!

And this Little Man is having such a blast in the pool!  He loves to wear goggles and loves to splash!

I took Jody's girls with us to the pool the other day and what wonderful babysitters they are!  Morgan was entertaining Austin most of the afternoon!  Thanks Morgan!

When cousins meet us at the pool ... it's a good day!!!

Taking the plunge ... Ashlyn still wears a puddle jumper most the time when she's in the bigger pool.  She is getting brave and is learning to swim on her own!  She loves to jump in the water too if she's wearing her goggles.  She actually had a bruise on her forehead last week from pushing her goggles up and down her face so much!  Such summer struggles!  :)))

Matthew will starting golf lessons next week and will get more practice at school.  Him and Mike went out the other day and golfed together and they came home with Matthew's early birthday gift!  New golf clubs!!!

The Tigers finished in second place last week!  The team played so well all year but on Friday night they just couldn't pull out first place.  The Knights beat them both games and that gave them first place and trophies.

Matthew really loves playing baseball and had a great season!  Good job Matt!!!

And Austin was his little tag along.  He watches and cheers for Matthew!  So adorable!!!

Wishing it was them receiving the first place trophies but these boys played hard and tried their best!!!  Way to go Tigers!!!

What a great team!!!  Tigers 2017!

With their wonderful, inspiring coach ... Mel Fisher.  Thanks Mel and Mike for coaching and making this such a fun learning sport for these young boys!

Love this kid!!!

Crazy!

Many dad's watched from the sidelines and cheered for their boys!!!

Father/Son moments are special!

Now the ball games are over for Matthew.  Our summer is moving along in rapid speed but we've got some fun events coming up and we are loving these warm, summer days!!!
