Volleyball in Pittsburg.

Last weekend Hadassah and I got to spend the whole weekend in Pittsburgh with her volleyball PA Elite Team!!!  Volleyball is a tough "family" sport because the little ones CANNOT bounce any balls inside the game gym.  They need to sit on the bleachers and just watch.  Because of this, Mike was glad to stay home with the rest of the family and watch some Super Bowl!

We had plans to leave on Friday afternoon.  Two other moms and team girls were riding with us.  I had to go pick up the school children and on the way home from school, the Yukon started acting up!!!  No heat.  A bad smell in the Yukon and not fit to drive to Pittsburgh.  We had to arrange our driving options pretty fast and Mike took the Yukon to get fixed.

Tina, Abby, Jodi and Raylie were all going to travel with Hadassah and I but because the Yukon through a fit just before heading out (which I was so thankful that it happened then and not an hour on the road!!!) Tina and Jodi had to both drive now.  We followed each other and Hadassah and I rode with Tina and Abby!  The roads were slick and a mess!  We had to keep stopping to clean off the lights and windshields!

Last year, Hadassah played on Blast.  This year some of the girls switched over to PA Elite and are loving it!!!!  The couch is great!  The extra practises help!  The teamwork is good!  They played volleyball on Saturday and won lots of games.  We all went out to Hibachi for supper that night.  Some of the girls have never been to a place like this and really enjoyed it!  Hadassah ordered sushi.

Right beside our motel was a Jumba Juice.  It would be hard on my pocket change if we would have one of these close to home!!!  I LOVE fresh juices, especially vegetable juices!!!  I enjoyed a Greens Juice on Saturday!

Pittsburgh is pretty and has a lot of history in the city!  We were able to walk to the convention center where the girls played volleyball.  Then we walked the streets and looked at the city!

 Yummy Bagels too!!!

The girls play and work.  Working means that they need to help keep score, keep the books and call the balls in or out of bounds.

It was fun to sit at each game without having one eye on the game and the other eye on the little ones.  Mike is doing a great job hanging out with the kids at home.  The pictures he is sending me is telling me that they are just fine!!!

Meanwhile, Hadassah played volleyball.  Sunday was a day of more loses than wins but all the games are fun!

We ended with a win match and headed back home around 3:00.  The minute we hit the turnpike our minds switched from volleyball to football!  Let's get home and watch some Super Bowl.

The roads were much better on the way home and we made it in good time!  It was good to be back home and hug the kids and kiss Mike!!!  Hadassah went off to the youth group Super Bowl party and watched the second half!  Those Patriots sure know the secret to winning Super Bowls!!!

Thanks Mike for being home with the kids!  For being "mom" and "dad" over the weekend!  :)))
