Wednesday ... we were off for the cabin! Our original plans were for us to go as a family but Mike needed to help coach the basketball team in a tournament on Thursday. I heard Dad came home for the day and so we hoped in the dump truck with him! All four of us, plus Dad! We were tight but we made it safe and sound!
We ate yummy food all weekend! We made homemade ice cream!
I asked Jody if the twins could stay at the cabin (their family was up till Wednesday) so Ashlyn could have friends! They had a blast!
We completed two puzzles!
Austin was trying to get fancy with his name because Meg and Mel were making fancy letters!
Always a big breakfast at the cabin! It's the only place we have a full course breakfast!
When we saw snowflakes falling, we ran outside and were delighted! What a surprise!
The flurries danced in the air all day but it wasn't until midnight, after we counted down the seconds into the New Year that we realized it was dumping huge snowflakes from the sky! My mom turned on the outside lights and the we screamed for glee!!!! I get like a kid when it snows and I love to watch it turn white outside! Ashlyn and Austin grabbed some boats, gloves and jackets and went outside to make snowballs!

We left eat snowy grounds the next day! This snow was a wonderful, fun surprise! The forecast did not have this online but we loved every minute of it!!!! Thank you Jesus!
Happy New Year! I'm excited to make new memories in 2024! This is going to be a new start to new adventures with new excitement!
