Here it is!!!! June 27, 2025!!!! Wedding Day!!!!
We've been praying all week that the weather would be nice for wedding day! We had a very hot week with 90 degrees every day! Thunderstorms keep rolling in. Another big rain shower came on Thursday night which had me thanking the Good Lord that we had rehearsal dinner on Wednesday night! There is no way we could have hosted a dinner in the back yard Thursday night! It was raining buckets! Jesus answered our prayers!!!
After the rain on Thursday night, the air was much cooler on Friday. Overcast skies which are actually great for photos!!!! No squinting eyes. It felt so good after such a hot week!
Matthew was up early and out of the house! The groomsmen had a breakfast planned and then some easy golf before it was time to head to the wedding venue! Coach Schatzmann walked into the restaurant where the boys were eating and offered to pay their bill! That was a kind gesture! Mike and Austin were home in the morning. Austin is a groomsman but we decided he can join the fun after the golf outing!
Ashlyn and I were out of the house early to join the girls at Daisy's grandma's house. Hair and makeup were done there! I showed a photo of what I had in mind for my hair and she did it perfectly!!!!
Hair was done. Makeup applied and we headed to The Barn at Stoneybrooke to see the boys!
The babies did well all day!!!! Gunnar was a charm!
Daisy was such a beautiful bride!!!!
Lena provided some brunch foods! Baby Gunnar was adorable!
Mike had Austin at the wedding venue to meet the big boys! They are so handsome and ready!
The whole day was beautiful!!!! I didn't have my camera or phone with me so I just have a few photos. I hope to get some from the photographer sometime! But doing this day with the love of my life sitting beside me was so fun!!!!!
Mike had a birthday on wedding day! Schatzmann had him pull up the getaway car for Matthew and Daisy after good food and fun dance floor! Matthew and Daisy drove away at 9 PM with sparklers and friends waving goodbye!
This was a hot topic that we had to talk about! The Flames made it to the finals! The final night was scheduled for wedding day. We can't be two places at once and we also knew that we were not leaving the wedding early for a ballgame. Austin danced his heart out at the wedding. The big kids did such a nice job at including the little kids in the reception! As soon as Matthew and Daisy left the venue, Mike and Austin changed into ball clothes and they were off to catch the game! They got there in the third inning. The cousins had to leave the wedding early for game time but Austin was cool with our arrangements! The Flames lost that game. Now they had another game to play. Austin as so tired!!!! But there was no way he was gonna sit out or not play his best in the late night! Game two began and it was 10 PM! The Flames won this game and Austin laid on the dugout floor after it was over. We were all tired and ready to head home!
We got home at 11 PM. We took quick showers. Ashlyn was so pretty at the wedding and said that she had to wash her face seven times to get the mascara off her face! We also had lots of hair products in our hair and I said that I could ride a roller coaster and my hair would still look good! She had it done so nice and stiff! With twenty nice hairpins, it wasn't moving! This was such a beautiful day!!!! The Lord is so good to us!
