Wedding week ...

Here it is.  Wedding week is here!  We have a lot of things to do this week and so we are taking one day at a time!  Enjoying the moments!  Shedding a few tears and getting the big boy moved out.  Matthew doesn't have a lot of things in his room but he's got big toys to move.  Hockey equipment, hockey sticks, boots, shoes, dirt bike, fishing poles, etc..  Austin was right beside him as he went through his drawers and slowly cleaned out his closet.  Matthew was passing on to Austin all the things he didn't want anymore.  Like a small bucket of coins he told him to wash and keep.

On Monday, Daisy made nail appointments for us!  Allie and Hadassah were there with their babies!

The Flames made it to the playoffs, so we a game to attend Monday night.  The weather was hot and I went over to Dollar General and grabbed some washcloths and ice and water and soaked them and handed them to each of the boys.  It did help them cool off before the next game!

Lost one.  Won two!!!!  The Flames beat the Orioles!

The boys dumped water on top of Coach Matts head!

All these dads are doing a good job at helping pitch, coach, base runner coaching, etc..

Living his best life!!!

On Tuesday, we had wedding lists to make.  Lena went for some errands and the boys stayed here to play!  They filled the pool up with cold hose water and cooled off!

They are best friends!!!!!

Zucchini is ready in the garden and so made bread!
And friends are supplying us with drinks for this big week!

Austin moved Matts yard!

On Wednesday, it was rehearsal day and we hosted the rehearsal dinner in our back yard!  The weather was so hot!  Upper 90's all day long.  We got tables and chairs from Silk Mill on Main and Hadassah and Mom helped us set up.

Then it was time.  Time to take Ginger to the vet.  Ginger is fourteen years old.  She's old.  Not able to hold her bladder very long anymore.  She lays around all day.  Ginger has a lump under her belly that didn't seem to bother her.  She struggles to go the stairs.  It was time to talk to the kids about her health!  We made an appointment for the vet to do an evaluation on Ginger and put her down.  The vet said we made a good choice.  We said our goodbyes and I cried as Mike drove her to the vet.  On this photo she looks good!  This was on her birthday back in October.  She's aged a lot since that day.

Mike was so kind and made a wooden box for her.  I said to just let the vet dispose of her but no!!!!  He said you need to bury pets!  He brought her back home and buried her in the back yard.  She was such a good dog!!!!  We loved her and she loved us!!!!  More tears ran down my face!  This was harder than I thought it would be!!!!

We got back to rehearsal dinner preps.  Mike and I hung lights in the back yard!  We were all off to rehearsal and then had Welsh Mountain Catering cook the food for the dinner!  It was all just so magical!  The weather was still warm but it didn't rain!!!!  There was a rain shower earlier but not at dinner time!  Thank you Jesus!!!!!

The little boys played ball in the back yard.

Matt and Daisy best friends gathered around for dinner!

On Thursday, we took Matthew out for breakfast after he got a haircut and after we took the tables and chairs back to Silk Mill.  Mike and I gave our marriage advice and we ate and prayed and then off to finish up any wedding details!!!!

Leftover flowers from the dinner last night was in the kitchen!!!!

Austin did a wedding clothes try on and this is how he left it!  I hope no wrinkles happened!

One time to sleep here at home before he gets married!

Thursday night, the kids were tucked into bed.  Mike and I snuggled on the couch downstair and started The Wedding Planner movie.  We don't watch many movies together because Mike's opinion of a good movie isn't my opinion.  But we were into this and it got late!  At 11 PM, Matthew and Daisy came home and said that they wrote their wedding vows and were packed for the honeymoon!!!!  Matthew took Daisy home one last time and came home tired and ready for the the BIG DAY tomorrow!
