Snowflakes glore!!!

While we were sitting in church yesterday, it started to snow!!!  The kids got all excited!  I did too!  I always say, "If it's going to be cold ... it might as well snow!"  This is the second snow dusting we got so far this winter.  We came home to enjoy some lunch and watch it snow!

Matthew just can't help but get giddy with snow falling!  He said after lunch, "It still seems like Summer because we don't have hot chocolate and cookies for dessert."  I think that was a big hint!!!  :)  We did have some chocolate covered crackers for his dessert and he came inside from playing in the snow, I made him hot chocolate!!!

Matthew went to the garage and brought the big tubbie of winter clothing inside.  He dug through it until he found his gloves, hat and I got his new snow boots out for him.  He also dug until he found warm clothes for Ashlyn to wear.  He wanted out and rolling in the snow!  It was so cute to see him and Ashlyn outside enjoying the snow.  He handed her a small snow ball and told her to throw it to him.  When it hit him, he fell down like it was a balder!  They can have so much fun together!  They went down the slide together.  He drove his four wheeler around the house and back yard.  Snow gets him excited!

He's giving her a taste of the snow!!!

The fun of being a child!!!

Making snow balls!

Hadassah was lazy on the couch watching You Tube.  She likes snow too but it takes her a little longer to get in the mode for all that dressing warm and getting out.  She too enjoyed some fresh air and snow fun!

Mike went for a quick two mile run before we packed it up and visited Matt Lapps.  Us and Dave's went for an evening of fun and played two games of "Dice".  Gathering with friends while it's snowing and blowing outside just adds to the fun!  We were all excited when we got the call from school announcing a two hour delay in the morning!  Thanks Matt's for hosting our little party of fun!

Today the snow has stopped and is now melting.  The roads are wet and things look like winter outside!  My laundry is still being dried.  I need to stuff my Christmas card envelopes.  I would really like to wrap some presents yet to before the children get home from school.

Enjoy the white, pretty outdoors!  Stay warm!

PS ... Only 16 days till Christmas!!!
