Hubby and kids went kayaking.

Mike and brother in law Ben kept trying to plan an afternoon out with the four oldest kids.  They first planned a hiking trip but then Jeremy sprained his ankle.  So they planned a kayaking outing instead.  What a blast they had.  With just a bit of planning, it all worked out well.

How can we do this?  The kayaking trip was down towards Exton and so how can we avoid so much traveling miles?  Church is down that way, so, Sunday morning we decided to pack a picnic lunch and eat at my parents house.  Mom and dad are out west right now but we still made ourselves at home.  :)  Mike wanted to drive and park at dads in the morning and then travel together to church.

After a wonderful service on "His yoke is easy and His burden is light" we were challenged to not be so stressed out with life.  We were not created by God to worry and be stressed.  So how can we live today in the peace and rest of Jesus?  Be equally yoked with Him!!!  Walk beside Jesus and let Him take the stresses of life.  We were again challenged!

We went back to dads to eat our packed lunch.  Nothing like a quick dinner of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and watermelon.  I hoped to spend some time with Daudy D.'s while we were down there but they were at their church outing.  Mike and the kids got changed into short and tee shirts and were off to meet Ben and the boys.  Ashlyn loves moms candy land game, so we played a game of that before giving Roxie and Flash a treat and then head home.  It was warm and I was ready to be in AC!!!

Mike, Hadassah and Matthew had fun on the kayaks in the hot afternoon sun.  They ended they adventure with jumping into the water.  They always have fun with Jeffrey and Jeremy!
