September ~

How can it be?  September already!?!  My two most favorite months are May and September.  Both months are 'perfect' weather tempts with lots of blue skies.  The smells of Autumn begin.  The browns and golds and orange colors burst forth!  Pumpkin pie becomes popular once again.  Hot and cold apple cider gets served!  I love it all!!!

September is a busy month for us - again.  It's the month where we hang on to the summer tempts.  Where we try to do all the outdoor activities that we can before frost hits our ground.

It's also a month where canning gets done!  I have tomatoes to juice and maybe make a batch of soup?  I hope to get a basket of pears and can them too!  With the house project in session and not living right where our canned goods are stored, my shelves will probably stay a little fuller for the time being.

With mentioning the house ... the framing got started yesterday!!!  I am so ready to see actual work be done to the house part now!  So far it has been pushing dirt around.  Pouring concrete.  Setting walls.  Filling in stones and making the new drive way.  It looks like a mess at the house and I am ever so grateful that we are living here and not there in the dirt!  I am excited to go to the house today and see the carpenters keep the job rolling!!!

School is in full session!  We really enjoyed the PTF last night at school and see the classrooms and get to meet the teachers!  Linville is blessed with many new families this year and so seeing many new faces is exciting also!  Welcome everyone!  Matthew has a new teacher and we are excited to see his class thrive and learn!  They have done a few science experiments already and he loves that!  Today, Hadassah is going to Sight and Sound with the middle school!  She loves to see the Bible come alive!  She will come home happy to witness the life of Joseph through this show!  She too is glad to be back with her school friends and have her eighth grade year be a good one!!!  There are new opportunities and classes to take.  She is doing volleyball practice after school two afternoons a week.  It keeps us stepping with all the extra runs and pick ups but it's really the sport that she loves and she is really good!!!  She's got her first game coming up next week!

September 1st is here!  Enjoy the season of warm days with brisk, chilled air at night!!!  I love it!
