Loving Summer!!!

Our summer has been so busy but today is much more relaxing!  The clouds moved in and showers have arrived.  No swimming today.  No working outside this afternoon and attacking those nasty weeds that keep showing up.  No watering plants because the Father in heaven is doing that job for me today!!!!!!  ("Thank you, Lord.)  No going anywhere ... because I told the kids that today I am staying home!  I just need that now and then!  They need it to but just don't show it at times!  :)

I will reflect on our past days just a bit.  I'll start with yesterday!

Marlene invited us buddies for an afternoon of swimming and chatting!  The kids had so much fun and each enjoyed it very much!  Thanks Marlene!!!!  Austin took a good nap there while I got to swim and sit in the sun!  Ashlyn played with Colson and Ava and her friends.  Matthew swam and jump on the trampoline.  Hadassah and Jordan chatted as they soaked in the sun and laid on the rafts in the pool!  With great tasting party mix and cold fruit, plus warm weather and sitting at the pool, the day seemed perfect!!!

On Monday, we took mom out for her birthday!!!  Fanny planned for us to all go to Terrain and browse the greenhouses and eat in the café!  We marveled at the pretty flowers and surroundings and then ate a yummy lunch!!!  It was such a great time!  We missed Mim though, she was home caring for her sick boy.  :/  We then went across the street and did some shopping!  Mom loved Charming Charlie.  She went to the cashier three different times to pay for things.  She kept finding another something she liked.  :)  I finally said, that she should put all things together and use a coupon!  She got $10 off!  :)  Many thanks to these ladies for a fun outing and for Anna Ruth to be watching my kids while I was out!

I got back home just in time to shower and refresh and then get ready to go out again.  Hadassah and Jess had taken their dads out a few weeks ago for an evening together and now it was the moms turn!  Mike got home from work and stayed here with the children while Verna and Jess and Hadassah and I went to Park City.  We got some coffee and enjoyed the mall together.  Then we made a quick trip to Target and got home at 10 PM.  I was so tired and walking all day around shops makes me so tired.  However, the day out was fun!  Thanks girls for planning this and making sure it happens.

Last Sunday, we went to church and heard a message on the percecuted church in Syria.  They are being killed and dying for their belief in Jesus!  I can not imagine that stress and peace all at the same time.  We are blessed beyond measure to have religious freedom!!!  After the service, we ate lunch at church.  Our afternoon naps felt amazing!  Then we went to Jr and Loreen for supper and cake for Dion's birthday.  They are in the midst of building a new home and so entertaining in their small living conditions kept us outside!  The whole evening was gorgeous.  Warm summer air with fire work going off in the distant.  We ate steaks off the grill.  Enjoyed salad and cold brewed tea!  Then we took a tour of their house that is still being built!  It will be gorgeous!!!

Summer weekends are so much fun!!!  The evenings have been so lovely and the sunsets are gorgeous!!!  Sitting around campfires discussing the Sunday School lesson about Abraham and Sarah brought lots of great discussions!!!

Please ... summer stay for a long time yet!!!
