It's December!

It's December!  It's the month of Christmas and we are so excited!!!  Ashlyn has been begging to go get our Christmas tree and so after a full day of shopping with my mom and sisters, we went for it.  It had rained most the day but Ashlyn didn't care if the tree was wet or dry.  :)))

We went to our usual farm in Whitehorse and picked out the perfect size.  For the first time, we went with the biggest size!  Now that we have some higher ceilings, it fits great in the living room.

 Everyone helped pick out the tree.

This little man is so cute!!!  I could constantly being taking pictures of him right now!  He's just darling!

After we found the perfect tree, Mike loaded it up and we took it home.

Matthew and Mike drug in the tree.  It always takes us awhile to get the tree straight and ready for decorations!  We strung the lights and hung the ornaments.  Ashlyn was so happy to be doing this!

Mike helped her put up the star!!!

It all looked so pretty for about thirty minutes when suddenly the whole tree fell over!!!  Yes, it fell right over onto the carpet.  Spilling the water that the tree sits in.  It pulled the lights right out of the receptacle.  The ornaments all went rolling.  Mike was already relaxing in the recliner and after a sigh and a huff, he got up again to set the tree in place.  Hopefully, this time it will stay in place for a long time!  :)))  I just chuckled when Ashlyn came running to me and said that I need to come see this!  Every year we have such a hard time getting the tree perfectly straight but this was the first time it totally fell over!!!  I swept up the fallen needles and we decorated the tree once again.  :)  It's all worth the efforts because I love the fresh green smell in the house and it makes the living room so cozy and Christmasie!!!

Mike made a deal with a customer and gave a discount on a shed in exchange for this basketball system!  It took effort on Mike's part to make it all happen and set it up ... but it's now ready to go.  The kids will play with this a lot!!!  Thanks Babe!!!

The little spectator!!!  Wherever daddy is ... he wants to be too!

Austin loves candy canes!!!  He is already 17 months old!  I could just squeeze him because of how cute his stage is right now!!!  I am loving it!!!  He is saying more and more words.  It's not very hard to figure out what he wants or is saying because he points to it or takes our hand and takes us to what he wants!  He is really interacting with Ashlyn and Matthew in play time.  He throws balls back and forth, hits a ball with his little hockey stick and loves his play guns.  He walks around saying "pow pow"!  It's adorable!!!

Basketball season has begun at school!  Hadassah is on the high school team and they played well after their first scrimmage even though they lost.  There are only seven girls on the team which means each girl will get tons of playing time!  Hadassah was in the entire game and loved every bit of it!!!

Matthew is playing basketball in middle.  He is still just having practises but is looking forward to their first game coming up!

As I was going through some pictures, I realized I forgot to post this one with the cabin post.  My dad decided at midnight that he needed to go get drinking water at Walmart.  So, Mike and these two drove along!!!  You never know what might happen past midnight at the Clearfield Walmart!  :)))

Yesterday was a day out shopping with most of the Lapp Sisters.  I'm usually the driver and this was part of our crew!  We went from store to store buying our Christmas gifts and having fun!  Thanks ladies for making it a fun day!

 Now I can get busy wrapping some gifts!

============================

Every year, Sue Esh goes to Hershey Medical Center and sets up a Christmas Party for those in the hospital, doctors and nurses.  She takes lots of different foods and I am the one that makes these filo cups filled with dip and fruit!  They really make a nice display and taste yummy!  They are the perfect little grab and go food!  Please, remember these families in prayer over the Christmas holiday!  They really wouldn't chose to be in hospitals over the most wonderful celebration of the year!!!  For many, it's not their choice.  We simply cannot be grateful enough for our health!!!

The Christmas music continues to play constantly here at our house!  The tree seems to be fastened good now and it's not moved since we readjusted it!!!  Gifts are slowly being wrapped and placed under the tree!  The kids are excited about their Christmas program today and everyone will be wearing reds and greens and golds!  I love it!!!  Christmas is simply the very best holiday!!!
