Goin' Fishin' and Playin' Ball

Trout Fishin'...
Last Saturday was the first day of Trout Fishing.  "Uncle Matt" invited Matthew to go fishing with him at a creek close to home.  Matthew was all smiles and couldn't wait!  Mike brought in a huge fishing line from the barn and Matthew was so excited!  He knew he would have to get up early on Saturday morning, but he didn't care.

Saturday morning came and he was up and ready!  He wasn't feeling the best and had a really bad cold.  Was that stopping him?  Nope!  Mike told Matthew that he needs to eat his cereal on the run.  What?  How can a 5 year old eat cereal with milk in the truck without spilling it?  Oh well, there I sat holding Ashlyn and letting them do their little man ways.  As they pulled out the drive, I quick called Mike and said that maybe Matthew should come back inside for a pack of crackers or a snack.  Mike's response was so 'manly' and said, "Hun, stop worrying about him.  He got it ... he's fine!"  OK, as a mom I was trying to look out for him and make sure he's prepared for his little adventure, but daddy's got it under control!

So, Mike and Matthew headed off for the creek ...

... and came back with these!  5 Trout Fish!!!  Matthew was so proud of his catch!  Thanks Matt for taking the time out to go fishing with Matthew!  He really had fun!

Little League ...
Matthew is playing little league this year for the first.  He's on the PV "Cubs" Team.  They have practices Tuesday and Thursday nights and he is looking forward to his first game!  The league is doing a home run derby and Matthew needs some sponsors.  If you are interested in helping him out, you can pledge money per foot which is based on his longest hit ball or you can pledge a flat rate!  For example, if you pledge $.10 per foot and the farthest hit ball is 150 feet than you would owe $15.00.  If you make a flat pledge you pay us your amount.  If you pledge by the foot the amount you owe will be calculated after the Home Run Derby and pledges will be collected.  All pledges are tax deductible.  There are prizes too depending on his funds he raises.  Let us know if you would like to give a pledge!!!  Come out and cheer for Matthew at his first game, on Saturday, April 16, at Paradise Park!

Matthew is proud of his team hat and is waiting for his shirt!
