Weekend in Florida.

Spending two weekends in a row out of town I knew was going to be a stretch for us and the children and so we last minute decided to take Austin with us this time!!!!  I am so glad we did!!!!  He did great and missed his siblings like crazy but very happy to be with his momma on this getaway!!!!

This weekend we flew down to Florida for see the "Turkey in a hole" event at the Gator Boys Wilderness Camp where brother in law Ritchie is being a chief.  We wanted to see him and his boys and where he lives now on this short mission and this was a great way to tour the camp and a way to give!

We got to stay at Mike's mom's house while we were in Florida.  She was also down to see the event at the camp.  Also, John Ervin's were there!  What a blast for these cousins to ride up and down the florida streets together on their adorable bikes!!!!

Florida has such good food!!!!!  I just go nuts at markets and these fruits and veggies look great!!!!

Here are a few things I grabbed for us to enjoy while we were there!!!!

It was lovely, warm, sun filled days the entire few days were there!  Going to the beach and digging my toes in the sand and watching Austin swim was high priority for me!!!  Mike dropped us off at the beach on Friday while he went golfing and drove the roads.  He did meet us back on the beach later and enjoyed the warm sunshine too!!!

Our favorite Yogurtology place was a stop for us!!!!  So yummy!

I never tried Yoder's Pumpkin Crème Pie but I heard it was delicious and since I love all things pumpkin, I grabbed a slice!!!!!  Yes, it was so good!

Friday night we went to a seafood restaurant with John Ervins.  The weather was perfect and the food was great!!!!

And I love this scene as we passed by!!!!

On Saturday, we left the house early and drove to the Gator Wilderness Camp School to see Ritchie!!!!  It was a beautiful day and so neat to see!!!!

We drove into the camp and were welcomed with warm, free donuts!!!

The camp digs a huge hole in the ground and wrapped 75 turkeys in foil and cooked them all in the ground overnight.  Saturday the turkeys were dug out and served for lunch to the thousand plus people that came to the event!!!  It was very good and so neat to witness!!!!

The camp is known for their "bacon on a stick" and we ate lots of this while we were there.

Here we are at Ritchies camp site.  It was so to the tee and very neat!!!!

Mommy Lapp was along and loved it!!!

Ritchie was delighted to see Ritchie!!!!

Look how they live!

Sleep tents.

Here is where the auction was after lunch.  We all gathered for the auction and raised lots of funds for the camp.

These little ones were so sweet the entire time!!!

Here is Ritchie hanging out with his boys.

Brothers ... plus Austin.

On Sunday we biked around Pinecraft.  Austin enjoyed the park!

We took the truck back and then made one last trip to Ledo Beach to see the ocean before heading off to the airport.

The flight went well and we got to see a beautiful sunset in the sky!

We got home late but the kids were waiting up for hugs and kisses!!!!  Over the weekend, a student and friend at Linville passed away.  Matthew knew Parker and golfed side by side with him this past  summer and fall.  We were up past midnight talking to our children and crying together.  It's moments like this that you take the opportunity to speak to their souls and really love on them!!!!

Linville Hill will miss Parker so much.  It is a grieving time right now and sad but God is still GOOD.  Hadassah said they were reminded about God's goodness at school on Monday!!!  Please join us in praying for the Allain family!
