Ashlyn plays ball!

There's a girl league that plays at a local park and Ashlyn decided to join a team after Austin reassured her that "she's good at ball".  Ashlyn decided to try pitching even though she's never competed in this sport before.  The baseball she's ever played was in the back yard with cousins!

I'm proud at how she stepped up to the plate and is trying to learn the game, learn how to throw strikes and learn how to hit the ball hard!

Mike is by her side coaching her through her pitching and helping her with any tips he knows!  Mike has played softball for many, many years and has helped coach Austin's little league team but he's saying coaching girls and watching girls play this sport is different.  Not bad just different!

 

I'm on the side lines cheering my heart out for the team Empowered!  This has been so fun!
